I’m personally looking forward to how beautifully awkward the press tour for this will be between Rachel Ziegler and Gal Gadot due to certain differences.

I know it’s not the popular take but I genuinely love the look of the dwarves. They went with a very fantasy aesthetic that captures the spirit of the 1930s animated characters well, in my opinion.

I don’t think there’s anything they could do that I would prefer.

It's just very Uncanny Valley-y to me. There are certain design concepts that work fine in the heightened world of animation, but don't translate when you're trying to do something in live action (to the extent that any of this movie is really live action, which doesn't seem like much!).

Who are these people?! They're all incredibly attractive?! Do people not understand the meaning of 'fairest of them all' in the story? Do they sincerely believe the story was entirely about equating beauty with morality and not morality with beauty?

Looks like there is an over-abundance of CGI. Not a fan.

Same, with the CGI and the abundance of filters, it's not an appealing look for me. There's too much of a clash between the live actors and everything else on screen.

The half-glass full optimist in me is going to hope that these are just compliments to Gal Gadot and nothing else.

Gadot really is terrible. wonder woman 2 performance was so bad

I never got that from the story, considering it goes out of its way to explain the Queen is jealous of Snow’s “youth and beauty”… not her equitable treatment of the differently statured.

Even though it’s still early, I think it’s safe to say that all the talk about the dwarfs being updated for modern audiences was just talk. Which isn’t really surprising. Disney loves to act like they’re progressive but we all know that behind the scenes they’re as woke as Sleeping Beauty.
