So looks like the entire Doc Brown's/Cinnabon complex has a contract on its life... it won't see much of 2014, if any at all.

And I don't mean rethemed.

That's a shame, but I guess with Springfield and Hogsmeade, it would just look odd being there. :/

The reason for its destruction is a little different, though.

Are you allowed to elaborate on that?

Sure why not. The new Studio Tour entrance needs to have a strong guest flow.

Ahhh great news Brover! Well, not really all that great for me personally, as I love Doc's, but confirms what i was thinking ever since we realized that we'd be getting a reconfigured new Tour entrance. Makes perfect sense, and I'm sure ill love how open it'll feel afterwards.

However, with the Cantina, Doc's, and Flinstones BBQ all getti demolished, I wonder how they'll handle the hungry crowds while they develop Springfield.

Speaking of: Brover, any approximate timeframe for Springfield in terms of year?

HateToFly addressed this in the Orlando thread, but nobody really knows. We hope next year, but it still needs to be officially greenlit.

Also, just putting this out there: but this will probably be the last time I'll have my hands on any info, as I've, ahem, separated from the socket if you will.

Yeah, I saw HTF's post right after I already posted here. As much as I don't like the Simpsons, I actually want a bit of Springfield just so it can tie that area together. And awwwww that's a pity! Well...you better still stay on here regardless! Haha :P

I'm sad and glad with that news. I was fond of the old tour entrance layout, and it's a shame to see all the well-themed venues in the area leave.

I guess I'm finally getting to realize what it's like to be a USH fan!

The entrance layout will be nearly identical, just shifted ever so slightly to the left.

Am I correct to guess that it'll probably even be the exact same current entrance arch we have now, but just literally shifted? I think the current arch looks great, and if they can move it without damaging it, I'd really be happy :)

I'm going to be entirely honest when I say this: ask somebody else, because I do not really know. All I knew were the plans, I haven't seen any concept art or anything about it. My thoughts are that it'll be shiny and new, since (supposedly) the tour will be getting a nice "do-over" (or gigantic expansion) in 2015 the very next year.

I guess we will see!

Gotcha. Not that big of a deal anyway. Exciting but not huge deal. I personally wouldn't mind the same sign/arch but just moved, as it looks great as is! But hey, if they go even BIGGER and SHINIER, I'm not gonna complain, am I? ;)

And if the Tour got two new animations, i wouldn't see it as a "do over", just a nice expansion to it's animation lineup :P Which I reaaaaally hope is true. The Tour is the heart and soul of USH, so I hope they keep pouring a lot of money into it :)

I wonder if there will be a time when there will be so many tour animations that the running time of the tour will be over an hour and they're going to start cutting certain segments that are shown from the tour, like certain sets and locations, to make time for the animations! I would hope that wouldn't be the case. I don't JUST want animations on the tour....

According to the Evolution Plan, new sets will be build where Park Lake and Little Europe currently are.

Gosh, I hope so.

Doubt It though. With him becoming the host of the Tonight Show, which is a bigger gig, they'll definitely want to keep him.
