wow. I just squeezed in. I showed up at a little after five - saw the 6PM closing time and a very short line so I jumped in.

That's an interesting development. I hope they don't introduce carnival games like Florida...

Wasn't there carnival games near the starway entrance before?

There was, but Florida has them lined up in front of the ride.

Jeez...

Just when your wounds heal, Universal tears off the bandage and pours salt into the wound. Really hoping we're not stuck with the Simpsons for another 10 years.

Hate to burst your bubble, but I'm guessing the Simpsons will easily last another decade. Whether of not they'll update the ride - who knows - but given the investments they're putting in, I doubt they'll abandon the franchise that soon.

Argh...

I wouldn't mind if it wasn't such a mediocre attraction. Even with the 4K projectors the animation is still lousy. It'll be awkward to also have a similar simulator across the way. Alas...so long as Jurassic Park is still there I'm alright.

Kingdom Hearts comes to mind first.

Even the game Simpsons Hit and Run had better animation. And that was a Game cube game. Which I really enjoyed actually...

So where's the preservation Doc Brown's walkthrough video?  :P

It is surreal to see it gone though, plus Cantina. Absolutely mindblowing just how much of the park is now gone in the matter of just a single year.

Haha nice! I love the outdated CityWalk photos from what looks to be 2003 that seemed to have been just... added for randomness sake. (perhaps to refresh the eatery after ten years?)

It will be missed, for sure. It was truly one of the oddest BTTF tie-ins ever, as expressed by James Rolfe AKA The Angry Video Game Nerd who looks particularly perplexed at its existence: http://www.cinemassacre.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/DocBrownsChicken.jpg

(as seen here http://cinemassacre.com/2008/09/13/more-back-to-the-future-locations/)
