I'm interested to see which characters make it into this zone.

It will likely just be a selfie zone, but hopefully they do a bit more with the concept.

Reposting what @Clive said a while back:

It's gonna be mostly Purge with the Butcher from Freaky, Babyface from Happy Death Day, and the Grabber from The Black Phone. If we're lucky, we'll get Baghuul and maybe some Insidious demons. I'd be surprised if they try to send M3GAN or the Exorcist Believer girls out there with how female-presenting popular horror characters tend to get treated. (If M3GAN's there, and I assume she will be in some capacity, she'll either be locked to a stage or participate in a dance troupe.)

Can't think of much else outside of that unless they really go for the deep cuts (e.g. Truth or Dare, Night Swim ghosts, etc). The plot of Woman in the Yard is allegedly pretty HHN friendly, so if they've released marketing for it at that point, they might be able to squeeze her in.

I definitely wouldn't expect M3GAN or Exorcist: Believer, or even Millie from Freaky. I'm guessing we'll get the actual Butcher.

Maybe Imaginary?

The Purge's costumes are so simple. I don't see any reason why they couldn't be included there.
It’s not a matter of costumes. They have a lot and I’m sure budget-concious execs are eager to use them. It’s a matter of skittish decision makers and current affairs. Purge is a very direct (ham-handed?) and violent social satire. We’ll likely still get a lot of Purge, but I’d bet money there have been conversations.

It’s the “unconventional” Blumhouse Scarezone!
Featuring Split, Whiplash, Elizabeth Moss’ character from Invisble Man, Blackkklansman, Get Out and the freaky granny from The Visit!

Or, to save on budget, it is a scarezone filled with actors playing the Invisible Man ;)

Jokes aside, I think Freaky, The Black Phone, The Purge, Happy Death Day, and MAYBE Sinister sounds about right

How come everyone is writing off FNAF as being part of this zone?

FNAF was featured front and center in last year's Blumhouse installation so I don't feel like it would be unreasonable to expect it for this. It would also make sense why they announced the zone but are still teasing the actual contents of it.

I think my personal skepticism comes from two points. First, if they had been able to secure FNAF, I think we would be having a house instead of just using it in a zone, given FNAF's popularity. Second, the bulky costumes seem like they would be tough to do as an outdoor scare actor, especially in a tight space like the San Francisco scare zone. (I acknowledge that Disney obviously has costume mascots so it is possible.)

Licensing characters from a Blumhouse “original” IPs, those being IPs that originated with Blumhouse, are easy to license and are most likely for the zone.

FNAF is not a Blumhouse IP. It’s an IP they licensed to create a movie. It’s a Blumhouse movie but not a Blumhouse IP. That’s the difference.

They were able to display props from the movie in Hollywood because Blumhouse owns anything used for the movie. Building something new for a zone requires a new license that Blumhouse cannot authorize because they don’t own the IP.

Ah is that the official confirmation it's not happening then?
