I really don't want SLOP to come to USO imo. Let Hollywood have a nice exclusive. I don't see the need for it to come to Florida. Do something unique for USF using the SLOP ride system, possibly Shrek or another DreamWorks IP. It would be perfect for DreamWorks land

The biggest thing that we, as enthusiasts of coasters/parks is always put ourself in the equation when it's time to add up what's good for the park. The average visitor to universal in Hollywood and Orlando will not visit the other park ever. Orlando would have a higher chance of getting hollywood park visitors due to it being Orlando but overall a very small percent of park goers will cross pollinate. With that said, both already have Simpsons, minions, renditions of mummy, F&F, Transformers, so why not SLoP?

I generally agree, but if the choices were SLOP or nothing like it, I'd happily take the straight clone.

True. The biggest draw that I feel with SLOP is slow/moving, family dark ride with animatronics…Uni needs more of those. I guess it isn’t the SLOP brand I’m tied to as much as it is the form of attraction.

That’s why Epic feels…different right now. Looking at the ride height requirements, technically, if my almost 3 yr old wanted to ride, they could ride everything but Stardust, Dragon Racers, and Monsters. And yes…he seems to be an unusually tall 3 year old.

Another thing people have pointed out online is that a decent portion of EUs rides are outside, which would be subject to closures in the Florida weather. EU needs more no or little heights family attractions these families can ride when the weather is bad.

The shows will help with that, for what it's worth and I think, as others have noted, EU is better set up for families than the existing parks. But I agree that the resort in general could use more low-or-no-height requirement, indoor rides. Something akin to Pirates of the Caribbean would go a long way.

Early rumors did have some sort of Creature of the Black Lagoon boat ride slated for the Dark Universal expansion pad. Not sure if it's still in the cards or if another concept took its place. A more family friendly dark would do wonders for the land.

What's unfortunate is that UEU will have less 'ride' attractions operating in inclement weather compared to IOA. Fortunately, 2 shows are available so it should help capacity-wise compared to IOA.

IOA (6) - Spider-Man, Storm Force, Skull Island, Forbidden Journey, Cat in the Hat, Caro-seuss-el
UEU (4) - Constellation Carousel, Mario Kart, Unchained, Ministry

Berk has three rides outside, and while it has a show, I feel a much appreciated (and formerly rumored) flight simulator ride would be great for this. Would definitely help EU during a rainy summer and just be an amazing idea.

Jeez imagine the park if the next additions were...

- Luigis mansion
- Black lagoon boat ride
- Flying type dragon ride
- Smaller dark ride (akin to SLOP) in celestial park or wizarding france. (Fantastic beasts family dark ride would be good shout - secret life of beasts)

If we do get an additional attraction in the Ministry of Magic land, I'm not so sure that it would still be based off of the Fantastic Beasts films.

Based on some of the signs around the land, The Quidditch World Cup is occurring in France during the time-frame in which the land takes places. I could see them developing an attraction that ties into that, but I'm not sure what ride system would be best suited for that concept now that they've seemingly abandoned the VR concept.

It would likely have to se some sort of flight of passage type ride.

or I guess it could be a theater ride where we are watching from the stands, but that would suck. lol

Bluesky but imagine fusing this idea with the new Cosm sports bar in Austin and it would be pretty cool imo. Could still leave room for a full attraction as well. Quidditch Stadium Restaurant - Adrian Gutierrez - MFA Thesis Project

How much does IP matter with a well executed dark ride?

Surely fantastic beasts made more money than SLOP. Although it's just a good excuse for a kid friendly ride with some crazy animals. Doesn't matter if it's got fantastic beasts in the name or whether someone has seen the movie. Slap harry potter on it, create an original story use the beasts to showcase some animatronics.

I believe the one between Nintendo and the front is what's been set for parade buildings/offices.

The one between Nintendo and Dark Universe is rumored for Luigi's Mansion, but it seems there could still be some room closer to Celestial Park for another expansion. Perhaps Waterworld, which I believe was mentioned by Alicia at one point to be considered for the plot? It's been a while though, I could be misremembering.

Of course the Dark Universe plot should be the home of Creature, but it's worth nothing there's also some room off to the side, next to Curse of Werewolf. Perhaps we could end up seeing that Wolfman show some day?

And of course the main big plot between WW and HTTYD, the fight between LotR and Wicked begins!
