can someone do a side by side of these maps? I mean it looks almost identical in font and design. Almost as if Universal could sue for copyright infingement.

Once again. LAZY. and CHEAP. UGH.

does anyone else find it stupid/strange that Storybook Circus is on a Midevil looking map?

My favorite part of this expansion so far is Wizarding World of Harry Potter...wait, what?

The potter one still looks better...Disney failed even when they had the blueprint right in front of them.

I would imagine you're clever enough to think this is silly logic too? I mean we all push so hard for them to stick to so many of Walt's visions (You're dead if you only aim at kids) that we can't use the "oh they don't care anyway so why not get rid of all of them" excuse, but only if we don't care about his other visions and I think this thread alone proves we do.

I'm not against alcohol in the parks, I just don't think thats the best reasoning against it. I mean, it's better just to say that times have changed and the attitudes towards alcohol with it. Paris does it fine, they tried banning it but culture is different and when you pay so much for a meal you expect to be able to accompany it with a nce glass of wine. If the parks did introduce the likeliness of roaming drunks is small, I've paid enough to get in and the drinks are more expensive than a swanky night club would charge so I'd rather got there to get drunk than a Disney park, where I might as well enjoy my time, and enjoy my meal with that glass of red it deserves (some places).

I hope you could sense the bitterness in my previous post. Of course the logic is silly both ways, because its a silly arguememt. I just think people need a reality check if they think current Disney structure really cares about what Walt would do.

I actually feel so bad that Disney has to resort to mimicry in order to try and spruce up their game and it, in turn, is hurting them... I just cannot wait until Disney starts to realize how stupid all of this is and shows us once again why there are four freakin' theme parks in Orlando.

In Disney's defense, Universal hasn't exactly copyrighted a map. While the resemblance is definitely noticeable, one is the Marauder's Map and the other is a generic pirate/adventure/treasure map. I highly doubt the marketing department went, "Hmm. What should we put onto this new website? A map? No. That wouldn't work. Unless . . . What if we copied WWoHP's map?! Now we're talking!"

Universal has taken ideas from Disney and vice versa. It's not a huge deal, it just shows the lack of creativity IMO.

The idea of a map is great. But they just copied the stylistic approach way to close to be considered a coincidence. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery....

So today I walked into the tunnel to "Call Me, Maybe" blaring to high heaven, turned the corner, and there was a giant circus set-up with DJ, free cotton candy, FLE flyers, an clown noses. I was all, "LOLWUT?" Celebrating the grand opening of New Fantasy Land...happening 90 days from now. Don't get me wrong though, I tore right into that free cotton candy.

Exactly. Dragon Challenge wouldn't be in IOA/WWoHP if **** didn't hit the fan back then. Instead a version of it would be in DAK right now.

Who was it in the dead thread that told me that Disney wasn't going to promote the new area? We'll be hearing a lot about new fantasyland for the next several months.
