Visually, the whole area is undeniably stunning! But having viewed a POV of mermaid.........I guess I would ride it when I go to MK but it doesn't have me jumping for joy in excitement over it.

Like it or not...I think the FL expansion and the WWoHP is good for the entire theme park industry. These expansions are forcing the creative teams to push the boundaries between good and awesome that much further. True...FL only offers some shops,a kiddie ride based off a 20 year old movie and a meet and greet and two new restaurants but the details they have added are quite stunning IMHO.

I've heard on twitter it will be open tomorrow. No idea how much more after that.

Softs implies that nothing is 100% guaranteed. The whole area could close down for a short period at Disney's whim, but supposedly the entire area (minus coaster....) is expected to be open until the grand opening.

Eh. I think it's a nice, solid, C+/D- ticket addition to a park that needed a ride of this kind. The problem is it isn't paired with a big, show stopping ride to go with it.

The queue is absolutely stunning, and the interactive elements with the bonus Scuttle animatronic look really fun. The ride looks just as mixed as its California cousin... though I appreciate the improvement of Ursala's demise and the consistency change with Triton's hair.

Agreed the park needed this expansion, but the ride could have been MUCH better executed when it comes to the ENDING, everything UP to the Kiss the Girl scene is amazing, and they pulled a Triumph and pooped all over the ending.

The queue line is stunning, the landscaping and castle walls are cool, the AAs in the Belle Storytime is cool, and then its pooped on by cardboard cutouts (again, I KNOW kids will love it though), but it just doesn't feel like the magic that the older Disney attractions have.

I would have liked just one aditional scene of a Giant Ursala and Eric steering towards her. The ending was definitely abrupt, but it's not like I don't know the real ending already. I don't need this to tell the full story, I just appreciate the way it all looks. Some of the pictures I've seen look ridiculously immerse.

Seeing the castle with people walking under it makes me really wish they made it all a bit taller. Forced perspective doesn't exactly perform miracles at eye level. I'm thrilled, though, that they stayed true to the concept art with the water elements. From the beginning, that was my absolute favorite aspect of the expansion and why I knew this would be (aesthetically) a very memorable addition. Stunning. I can't wait to see the SDMT open.

I love the water elements, they really are beautiful! I have to say forced persecutive that close is a little weird though...
