Before it was officially announced, it detailed that the ride's setting would be in San Francisco. Otherwise, it hasn't been in any of the films.

Ahhh thanks. I thought I was going crazy. Have seen every movie and couldn't remember a mention or shot of it.

I love the area but it has no real representation unless Godzilla or Rise of Planet of the Apes comes into play. If San Fran is leaving, I will miss Ritchers view points.

Richters is rumored to being replaced by a F&F themed restaurant. I doubt SF is leaving. They're adjusting the F&F attraction so it takes place in SF and they're refurbing the SF facades.

That's a pretty good chunk of land that's being given to F&F, though. All the more puzzling they didn't really take advantage of it considering how valuable and limited space is in the park.

Universal may not have the blessing of size, but this specific plot where they're building F&F sure does. They could easily make something Test Track size there.

Agreed, but to do a Test Track-like experience, it would still need more land. It needs to have the room to pick up the speed and enough left-over to slow it down safely.

I don't care about screens/speed....but this could be the one ride for explosions and crazy practical effects like fire and pyrotechnics and they aren't even going to do that due to the fact its virtually impossible due to screens.

Too bad the old Disaster scene isn't still there. That would be cool to race past the rushing water, the exploding gas tank, etc.

I'm pretty sure Richters is still going to be Richters.

If they would add a long scene like that (Disaster like) that was entirely separate from the screens, I could live with screens for the rest of the ride.

...I think if they did that no one would complain about screens....depending on the intensity of said scene. If you are getting shot at, fire all around you, wind blowing hard and they pull a water world where a helicopter flies in with fireworks all around, it would be a win in my book.

OK my man, we just fixed the attraction for Universal. Just need for UC to adapt our common sense approach and "we're off to the races".....See, Mark Woodbury, how easy that was. :)

Yeah, I can never fathom that age group at all. Younger teens especially. Rude little pigs from my point of view. I have a niece that I wouldn't care if she died tomorrow. And yes, that is a horrible thing to say. It is even a horrible thing to have to say.

And you wonder why I thought you were a grumpy old man lol

In all seriousness it depends on the kid. My friend has a 13 year old and she is very pleasant to be around and helps out a ton. Nice, quiet, etc. I have also met 13 your olds I want to strangle.

I have a nephew who just graduated from high school and I wonder how he made it this far in life without being strangled. It pained me to send him a gift and card.

Then, I go to IOA and UNI and I no longer care what he becomes. As has been mentioned, I was impressed by how much land this ride will take.

Yes, I have met many teens that have it together and know their manners. My sister raised a monster whom I dislike terribly. I think it is because she had such issues having the child and now works as a banker. Money shuts them up and makes them seem proper to her. Each girl has her own horse!

Regarding old, I was just as judgemental when I was 22 years old. So cool it baby cakes. :)

Yes, I just spit out my Jim Beam & Ginger Ale reading that. Fits into the conversation you & I had a couple of hours ago.

Does Universal have to worry about building more queue space than Disney because they have less of a percentage of guests using Express vs those queueing virtually with FastPass+?

Yeah, sometimes we're even handed. But, Bob Iger & Chapek, push me into Universal's corner more often than not.

So even though this ride is taking up a huge chunk of land, people still think a high speed outdoor portion isn't feasible? How about building the thing multileveled...and place the outdoor speed portion above the walkway, entry, around Richter Burger and back behind the building? It would make the ride so much better, and really entice guests walking below to get in line for it.

They really wouldn't need the outdoor portion of TT.

If it was a similar ride to TT, you would need a long stretch to get the desired speed.

Building it inside a tunnel eliminates a lot of problems that the Florida weather brings.

Something along these lines would be perfect.
