That picture of the construction site absolutely confirms (for me) that this project has no business eating up a plot of land that size. Seems like a gigantic misuse of space.

Such a huge piece of land gone to waste. Ugh, i'm sure the general public will eat it up simply because it has the F&F name on it though...

Except I'm pretty sure the public is not eating up "Supercharged." The reviews have been pretty bad to mixed since it debuted.

Re-rideability (is that even a word?) is where I believe this ride would fail. Could be very wrong. Some rides, you ride again and again because they are just fun or relaxing. This ride appears, from what little I know of it, to be all talk and no shock (bonus points for anyone who can figure out where that quote came from and from whom).

I'm trying my best to believe this is literally just for WiFi internet because I'm still wishing everyone is wrong and this ride is going to be different.

Awesome find. I was a younger fellow when I watched this cartoon. Nothing like the 80's.

I rewatched it and realized just how cheesy it was. Sheesh.

Here is another short article from the Orlando Business Journal. It mainly notes that US is back at work on Fast.

This may be a question with no legitimate answer but does anyone know what the Universal executive response has been to the Kong ride? I seem to remember hearing an insider claiming the execs were somewhat disappointed and that expectations weren't exactly met. Add this to the lukewarm response to the USH F&F Tour Segment and I still can't wrap my head around the decision to move forward with this attraction as planned. I know parts of the research and development costs are already taken care of but this isn't a case of Transformers being fast tracked and built as an exact replica of the successful version from Hollywood. By Universal standards, this is a pretty long construction timeline and will require a lot of "plussing" that won't necessarily give the park a "wow" attraction.

I think that Universal is almost moving too fast on developing new attractions.....almost the exact opposite problem of Disney. They need to take a step back and think things through for the rest of the unused expansion areas of the parks. Of course the newly purchased land might help to mitigate some of the recent fast tracked attractions.

The NY area should have taken over SF and they could have used the Disaster site for a new Fantastic Beasts ride.
