It just feels fundamentally underwhelming to put so much effort into a F&F attraction from the ground up that doesn't do the one thing people want: to feel like they are in the driver's seat going crazy fast through a beautiful terrain. To give people a third person perspective on cars going fast next to you, while you are stuck on a tram, would be cutting the one aspect that even people who don't like the movies would want out of a F&F ride.

One does wonder what the heck they were thinking...

I don't know if it was meant to be a tram type ride. I never saw any such specs. I know, I'm asking for proof again before I believe something, it's not in fashion these days.

From what we've seen at Hollywood with the trams , and the original rumored Kong like vehicles, though smaller at half to two thirds size, the concept has always reminded me more of the Sandra Bullock movie "Speed", about a runaway bus. Hopefully, as rumored, UC changes the vehicles due to communication problems with Kong vehicles, and uses a smaller vehicle system like SpiderMan or Gringotts, so it seems more car than bus like.

I prefer to think of Speed as a Dennis Hopper movie.

If speed was realised today, that would be the perfect vehicle.

When I think of Dennis Hopper, the one movie that defined him, pops up in my head. Easy Rider....And sorry, but I think of Sandra Bullock often. :)

Heh, I'm getting a lot of competition for the funny stuff around here lately. What gives? ..........What happened to those Debbie Downer mean spirited people that were posting a couple of months ago? They've just about all disappeared.....Well, it looks like the Orlando United Forums is back to being the "friendliest" spot on Earth :), right next to the "safest place" at Gringotts' Bank. :)

From the sound of it they were going to ditch the 'vehicle' aspect altogether and go with a theater...That rumor seems to have gone quiet

I've seen the change vehicles rumor from a prominent insider or two. I think the theater stuff was just conjecture on the part of a couple of posters. I would think the chance of changing types of conveyance from the original, is quite high, due to Kong's communication issues.

This problem with the Kong vehicles may end up being a blessing in disguise. If replaced, the end result may well be better than the original plan. Keeping fingers crossed.

There's always a silver lining... Hopefully they see the reaction of the fanbase too. This is the first UNI attraction since FJ where there's a real negative vibe, or at the least, no real excitement.

California's foundations are all beefed up due to earthquakes. Checkout the difference in foundations for Transformers if you can find old photos.
