This Lawsuit is the stupidest thing I've ever heard, once again the typical American trend, to always look for some kind of way to sue people and get rich easily and fast. Greed has consumed this society. FJ does not go upside down "PERIOD!!!", if you can't deal with a long downtime, then you should not be riding that attraction... or even visiting a theme park, because "News Flash!" downtime are a normal thing on a day to day operation. Go to a Botanical Garden, but most likely they'll try to sue due to pollen levels to high and it's causing them problems with their sinus. We should be ashamed of the society we have created.

Lockers are still an absolute nightmare. If they don't expand them, they need to develop a reliable way to ensure only one member of each party enters the locker area when possible. Such a huge negative for a fantastic attraction.

Long line to get into the castle/lockers this morning (only 45 min posted wait). They usually let me skip it when I tell them I'm going single rider with no bags, but not today :l

Its an absolute mess. The people coming out of the gift shop want to exit through the line entering the castle. They dont know where to go. They crowd the locker terminal with their whole family. Its quite ridiculous...

Americans are the quickest to yell Lawsuit its true. But I definitely wouldnt want to be in their position for an hour. If it were me I would expect a free meal or nights stay at one of their resort hotels. I think that should have just been given to them on spot after.

An hour is a long time out of your day to be stuck in an uncomfortable position on a ride. Especially if that is your only day at the park

and how would you deal with the ones on a comfortable position? and what makes it comfortable and uncomfortable? because I rather be on my back than a tilted sitting position were I'll be fighting gravity's pull. My point is if you are flying and expect no delays or lost luggage, stay home. If you are using Interstate 4 and expect a clear highway, stay home. If you are going to a theme park in the middle of summer and expect no wait times, stay home. If you are living Life and expect it to be a breeze, stay home. BTW the word "you" = People in general, not YOU personally :) I think Express Passes will be best, because all they are loosing is time and Express will help them to gain it back, unless it the last 30minutes of ops for the day... then a sorry will have to do, I don't want to hear the theatricals at that point, it's the end of everyone's day.

I find that the biggest problem with FJ's restraints, is that it is a really thight space for the upper arms.

I am only 5'11 and I sometimes have something similar on coaster with the over the shoulders harness, they push it down to much, causing too much strain on my shoulders, then, I like my restraints on the loose side to begin with.

Exactly! Sometimes they do this on Seaworld's Manta, and then my thighs are all squashed again. I don't want to feel secure, I want to feel like I'll fly out :)

Gringotts broke down while I was on the ride. The car was just at the crossover just after loading. They closed down the ride and evacuated us with firemen one at a time. And then gave us a one time express ticket for any ride. In that case I felt safe, and like you said I got the time back that I lost.

I can safely predict that Forbidden Journey will not have a closure in May.

Hm, this is more interesting than the news that it would close. I wonder what's up, if anything. When I heard of the possible closure, all I could think of was the closure of space mountain and the reported screams by MK management and ops.

No way that they could close that and lose all that capacity while the Hulk was down & Kong wasn't ready.

Is there any thought of how long of a shut down this would be? I'm being self centered, but we arrive on the 15th of August, and only have till the 19th to see everything

If a closure does happen, are we looking at months or a few weeks? While the ride is not new by any means, it is still the main driving force for marketing and the main attraction for most people (even more than Gringotts). I just feel like a sudden 2-3 week notice is going to do more harm than a publicly announced, far in advance down time. Most people plan (and start booking) 8-12 months in advance. Announcing a downtime for spring of next year would be more than enough time for people to alter plans and change dates. I know if they suddenly close it down when I am there in Sept I am not going to be to happy. Big Thunder and Dinosaur being closed is already enough to make me think about canceling Disney...I don't want FJ closed too!

I very much agree. Harry Potter is the flagship of the resort, and FJ is the flagship attraction of that. Closing it down with little notice would cause a LOT of outrage, and honestly, it'd be understandable.

Electronics of unknown origin and purpose are starting to appear on poles around the extended queue at Journey.

I think the next window for a closure would be early November between HHN and Thanksgiving. That's if they decide to close it and I think they're trying not to.

Actually I'd think September might be the best time for it.

September is too small. They have to wait for after labor day and have it back up before HHN starts. I agree, I think early November would be better. They have a solid 2 weeks to work with.
