The original rumor was that the extension to the maintenence building was to more reliably have full trains on the track with the intention of adding express. With the building be done, it makes sense.

I wonder if the allure of finally adding Express is part of what convinced the powers that be to authorize the expense.

That's really the only way they could add Express. Hagrid line times never really came down. They've stayed super high, unlike the other Potter E tickets whose stand by times declined enough that they were able to add Express.

Hogs Head bartender just told me the same thing (for real).

If their info is more reliable than that of bus drivers remains to be seen (also for real).

Bartenders, everywhere, are a source of secretive information. It comes with the territory....................For me, this is great news if true. I'll be at Portofino for the first week of my November vacation. I generally don't ride Hagrid more than once a vacation, if that, because the lines are way too long at all hours. Lunch time is best but that's long too. And if there's one of the many breakdowns while you're in line, that's really uncomfortable.

Especially those types of bartenders. Even when they're just BS, they're worthy of time spent. ;)

Feel like it could be a combo of that, but also them feeling the need to make up for no included Express pass for Epic at the high end resorts.

Is the expanded maintenance shed operational yet? Has anyone noticed a full train lineup when the park opens?

If Hagrid's ends up with Express.... I fear what the wait-time ends up being. Express added about 15-20 of wait to VelociCoaster, and I'd imagine a further increase for the more family-friendly coaster.

There were three or four days before Epic opened that Hagrids stand by times were the lowest I've ever seen, with a bunch of 35 to 45 minute lines. So perhaps they experimented for a couple of days with the maint. shed before the Memorial Holiday rush.

Nah, the parks were dead. Velocicoaster was a walk on as well.

Memorial Day (and most holiday weekends) have become some of the best times to visit parks with people avoiding them in fear of crowds. With Epic, it drove even more people away. SWO & WDW were always quite empty.
