Since when is the whole concept of the Forbidden Forest being in complete darkness? There were multiple occasions of going to the forest during the day and well, it wasn’t dark.
In fact, the first time we met Gwarp it wasn’t dark. Shadows and under foliage, sure. But dark? Not at all.

Having certain outdoor sections, as long as they have foliage, are certainly authentic.

Because the Forbidden Forest during the day is just a regular old boring forest? You'd rather race through a bunch of trees in mid day? Pretty sure you can do that on the highway.

Because you cant change day times in a matter of seconds. How can you go from day to night or night to day in a matter of moments. It doesnt flow at all. The forbidden forest works best at night. But thats JMHO. Obviously The Skipper said we are getting outdoor portions, so Im wondering how they create a day to night transition

I just hope whatever outdoor sections we eventually get are HIGHLY themed and surrounded by heavy foliage that is as dense as safety regulations will allow. If Rowling and WB are the hard-driving taskmasters they've been made out to be, I'm hoping that level of theme is basically a given at this point, but you never know.

Im not as sure of it as I am with Nintendo stuff, but as of right now I'll stand by saying there will be significant outdoor portions of the ride

I think they're maintenance bays for the pulley system? Someone correct me if that's not the case

Its partially where the steam effect comes from, some storage, and such. The pulley system is in Kings Cross (if you look down there you can see its open to underneath and the cables disappear into the mechanism towards the end).

Anyone expecting “no visible supports” I would like to point out Flight of the Hippogriff which was cloned with approval to Japan and Hollywood.

That’s because it’s Disney and people haven’t sent up insane mental hurdles.

DCA also has a GIANT STEEL COASTER as the backdrop for one of its lands and I never hear complaints about that

Because that land is themed as an old time amusement park on a pier, not an environment like Hogsmeade where you never see anything like that. Do you honestly not see the difference?

I'm gonna be honest, I'm so burnt out on theme park people crapping bricks when things aren't exactly what they dream that I hope there's just random pillars of exposed steal that aren't even necessary for the coaster.

Ok, since nothing matters why even have dedicated lands and environments? Let’s just keep everything looking like a warehouse. Oh, and theme? Doesn’t matter. Oh look, we just made a Six Flags. Enjoy :)

No, see that's the issue. This ride will be so much more themed than Dragons ever was. It's going to be a better "theme park attraction" than Dragons ever was. But the minute anyone sees a bit of steel that wasn't covered a vocal and annoying subset of fans will lose their minds and call the thing a failure, massive upgrades be damned.

As long as it’s not as egregious as DC was I won’t have an issue. Then again, if it was all indoors there wouldn’t be potential for an issue.
