If it is even close this type of "forest", I will be quite happy. I don't like when they build a coaster but remove every tree in a 100 foot proximity. It could be to allow for construction equipment but it just removes so much of what could be the setting of the ride. The Voyage at Holiday World and the Beast have great runs through the trees and would not be nearly as enjoyable in an open plain.

Possibly sometime this week, just depends on how much time I have to finish adding trees and clean them up.

As I suspected, probably going to re-brick it with new brickwork, but keep the walls up.

Compare to Monday:

I wonder if they will modify the top edge of that turret? I was just staring at that rockwork the other day wondering if they felt it would suffice. Regardless, we should soon see where they are going with this thematically!

Hope they can find a way to keep the ivy cover. I'm too old to wait for it to grow in again unless they plant kudzu.

With kudzu being so invasive and such a scourge, I hope that they wouldn't do that.

Since moving to Florida 17 years ago I was amazed the kudzu does not grow well here. Seems to like Georgia though.

Does anybody know what the object is next to where the steel hits the concrete foundation?

I’ve always wondered what cables like that are for. Sensors of some kind?

I’m more concerned as to why these bolt holes aren’t filled:

I'm guessing sensors. I would think lighting would be heavier and there is one on every column. Maybe force sensor feedback for the column to watch for excess deflection.

Those are for sensors that keep track where each train in along the course. That way the system knows if a train stops in the middle of a block.

I remember seeing the exact discussion when Hulk was being constructed as well as the slides at VB. It was while they were still putting in pieces of the track (or slide) and it allowed them the “wiggle room” to fit in the remaining pieces. Then they put in all the bolts after that time.

And even then, if you’ve ever messed with bolts on a much smaller scale then this, you’d need them to be tight to fit everything together, but then loosen it and loosely put in every other bolt in the entire track (or at least a few connecting track pieces) prior to tightening them. Otherwise, if a hole is just a cm off, you can’t get a bolt in, then you’d have to loosen the ones next to it, etc.
So it’s likely just a massive timesaver until the final “oomph” is put on them.

Actually it's just an element of the ride. JKR saw the fake track jump in the Donkey Kong art and said, "I want my ride to do it for real!"

That is really putting some dependence on magic from a bunch of muggles.

Creeping Fig and some of the other covers they use grow back quickly. That's what they have trained on the entrance sign:
