It’s good to be back.
Here are my thoughts that almost echo everyone else’s.
Popular/Upcoming: The Last of Us 2. Whether it’s going to based off Part 2 or a continuation from Pittsburgh, Neil Druckman is likely to be down with working HHN again, and with a how popular the show is, chances are very high. Plus, I think remember Murdy has stated how much he liked working with Druckman, so it makes everything much easier.
UCM: If Universal wants to continue the Classic Monsters even with Dark Universe around,
then I want to say Creature of The Black Lagoon but costume and budget issues like Murdy stated make it less likely. Perhaps a continuation of Eternal Bloodlines?
Slasher: I think it’s time for either Freddy or Jason to make a comeback. Jason seems more likelier with the Peacock series. However my personal wishlist is that they do Jason X for the sake of the sheer campiness.
Blumhouse: MEGAN. After Terror Tram, I definitely see a possible solo maze with this film or another HoB maze that features her this time.
Latin America Legends: I’m definitely counting on another Monstrous to complete the trilogy like others are saying. I’ll just call it Monstrous 3: The Horrors of Latin America. Murdy has even asked what legends they would like to see, which makes it seem likelier. OR, it could be another solo maze like La Llorona.
Orlando Original + Terror Tram: No doubt another Orlando original is coming. I’m not sure which of course, but an idea that I had was Slaughter Cinema becoming part of the Terror Tram as a way to tie in the filmmaking aspect with horror. I’ll call this one Slaugher Cinema: Behind the Screams! It’s quite similar to Scream Terror Tram minus Ghostface, but it would be interesting to see an Orlando original combined with the unique aspect of HHN Hollywood.
AA/Puppet Heavy House: Another obligatory The Thing guess, and after A Quiet Place, I still want to see it, though it’s probably less likely unless the budget is good enough.
IP exclusive: Do not have any clue to guess. Another music maze seems less likely. I am counting on the IP exclusive to be a returning maze that hasn’t been done in SO long. Even if The Last of Us fills in the video game IP, I do hope that it’s Silent Hill considering how much Murdy has expressed interest in coming back to it.
Not sure why Death-Eaters didn’t make it this year, but likely that they’ll come back?
