Not a knock on him whatsoever, but if you’re going to use stage 12 for queue space….then…just….use the stage for the house! Doesn’t make any sense IMO to use the stage for queue space when it can be better used for a house.

Considering how small EB felt compared to the scale of the Soundstage 12, u can fit like 2 and a half average-sized Hollywood houses there if u used every square inch of it. Using a portion of it for queue space could help alleviate some of the problems that EB's utilization of the space was. Especially if they can make the queue and facade a cool combo like the Weeknd did last year in SS15

I’ll take it even farther….IF they have access to 12 again and IF they plan on adding a ninth house…then what are they doing building in the JW queue when they could very comfortably fit two houses AND most of the queue for both?

Shhh, that would require Murdy to actually use the full potential of a soundstage for the event. The very thought of it sends a shiver down his spine.

JP queue coming back would be interesting. They used the top area where the bars are for the line before so curious to see how they would set that up, assuming this tent is actually for HHN . Also crazy to think we haven’t had a house there since 2017, I’m old

Yea the queue for Jurassic Tent is going to be an interesting issue because I can't see them NOT having a bar above Jurassic. That'd be denying themselves money.

Yeah, the only mortal lock in Hollywood until the heat death of the universe is a “themed” bar in that space during Horror Nights.

At this point, I'd believe we lost a venue we're not thinking of before thinking we'll get 9 mazes plus a tram. It's hard for me to imagine them setting up SS12 this early also, 5 months before the event, when it's a perfectly suitable soundstage. I get film is dead in LA right now and all, but a comeback is on the rise, I can't see them taking it out of commission for that long. When did Bloodlines construction start? To be fair, someone seeing a "maze layout" in SS12 could be very confused with a regular production starting in there. JP and SS12 just feels unlikely. 9 mazes plus Tram is insane...something will not get the attention it deserves.

2019 wasn't the greeeeatest year for me either, even with all those mazes. Us and Killer Klowns were very strong. Holidayz and UCM were good middle tier mazes. Everything else varied on the run through (Creepshow, Stranger Things) or straight up just sucked (HOTC, Ghostbusters, Pandora).

You're forgetting one major key factor... FanFest using SS15 & TWDA currently until next month.

They'll need to do record tear down & build/scenic for both venues to be used. Normally both would've been vertical by now for HHN

I had been thinking about this. The build for Trek wasn't exactly easy, either.

And that’s exactly what has got me thinking we may have lost a venue instead of gained one. It’s possible they keep Star Trek up for a year until next Fan Fest. Unless we get it repurposed for an original spaceship maze ala Event Horizon or KSF’s Dark Entities.

They won’t be able to repurpose the sets, as they’re Star Trek IP and I believe on loan — but I think you’re on to something…

Give us a "CATZ" sz... nothing scarier than that musical/movie adaptation! Or "PETZ CEMETERY ALLEY" (Beware of the Dog Catcher! Half man, half dog! Full of rabies!)
