You joke now, but i'll be interested to see if any sort of lines build at Guest Services over the course of HHN due to Diagon not being open. I highly doubt it will be publicized all that well that it won't be open and the general public will likely be expecting it to be open.

"The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ — Diagon Alley™ will not be open during this event." It's posted on the Attractions page of the website. I have no sympathy for the uninformed consumer when the information is right there.

I do , however, have sympathy for park staff who have to deal with uninformed consumers (not just during HHN, and across all theme parks).

I totally get it. I've worked in hospitality for five years. That's probably why I'm jaded about it.

damn..... you reminded me that ET and Shrek were also opened a year during HHN. Even some of the kiddie rides were opened during the years at IOA... Popeye's and Even the Dr. Seuss rides were opened.

I know it was obvious that Rowling was going to say now but sometimes I can't believe it. the books are dark enough, and It's not like they were going to do a Potter scarezone or anything...

Even if they didn't open the ride they could have at least let us go into the shops and restaurant in that area... I mean, at least it would have been something. Kind of makes me mad.

For Smiler I was thinking Killer Klowns from Outer Space or something clown related as that has been strongly suggested this year. I have even heard rumor that Jack might be back or that they are making a house similar to Something Wicked This Way Comes.

Current intel has me changing the name of Tent 2. Here is the updated list (according to Legacy at HNN)

Crows = Parade
Charlie = Tent1
Captain = Tent 2 (IP?)
Smile = Disaster!
Evac/Synergy = 24 a/b (IPs)
TWD = 25 (IP)
Ritual = 22A (if thast hasn't changed as well)

Assuming the list I posted was correct, I could see Ritual relating to either the proposed Croatoa house or the rumored boogeyman house. Crows could also be Croatoa hence my hesitation.

I've heard Crows = Croatoan and Ritual = Dracula. If Home is indeed gone, I would say Synergy is indeed Halloween.

Yea, that could be as well, but from the rumors, the house is based on that movie, and the movie is about how he became Dracula, hence ritual. At least that's what folks on Horror Night Nightmares are speculating/divulging.

Wouldnt a house codenamed Synergy be related to a more current property? As much as I love Halloween and hope that rumor is true, theres not much "synergy" happening between a haunted house and an almost 40-year-old movie...not to mention Universal doesnt even own Halloween to begin with.

It's a codename, and doesn't necessarily have to be that obvious. But Halloween is rumored for both UOR and USH, so there could be where the "synergy" tie in comes. Also HALLOWEEN Horror Nights.
