Yeah, I can confirm this too. I am not sure why they are starting so early. It causes me to think that they have a whole lot more on their plate for other things. A&D had quite a bit of involvement in 722. Perhaps a new show for either park is on the horizon. On the other hand, most set decoration usually happens in August... so perhaps it isn't early at all.

I am so out of my element talking anything HHN.

It takes them honestly 1 to 2 weeks per house to create it. Meaning just the wood layout not textures and props. That facade looks like a house.

I'm down with clowns if they are done tastefully and not annoying as hell. You go to places like knotts where they are just obnoxious non stop laughers and they get annoying FAST. Universal is the only company that can make a clown house not only bearable but fun too. I have faith

I have faith as well. Besides they have not used clowns in almost a decade. (or at least I don't remember) I love clowns, they always bring a smile to my face. Im pretty excited about this clown house. It was about time

(I hope they would make a scarezone too )

Yeah a scare zone would be sick, I never found clowns to be scary either, just another way of miming that I've been very comfortable with (I actually know a clown that's touring in the Barnum and Bailey's legends as we speak) but I do like the twisted side of clowns too, makes for some cool imagery. This could be a sign of jacks return

I hit up my first HHN last year and will be back this year for more Horror fun.

One of the many highlights for me was B&T, although some of the gags were lost in translation a lot of it did carry over from watching US shows with my teen daugher. What has happened in American pop culture this year that could be the butt of the jokes in this years show?

I'm coming over for my first dose of HHN and I've never been so excited for a scare event. As a Alton Towers Scarefest fan can we expect a huge leap in standard of scares?
Are they as organised as the uk ones? As on videos it almost seems like most houses ended up one big conga line with everyone on phones taking pictures?

Also a bit more on topic sorry.

What's with the hate on walking dead? It's part of how I convinced 3 universal/Florida first timers to finally take the plunge and come over with me!

I also go to Scarefest, as good as Scarefest is.it is no comparison to HHN. Our houses certainly don't lack, I would even say some are better as the actors get more in your face in the UK, I was licked, bitten and splashed with water in the extreme versions last year, all added to the fun.

The Conga lines are a different approach from what you are used to but in no way detract from he experience. Mobiles/cameras were not a problem last year, I never saw one out in a house.

Im no expert on HHN but I believe the "hate" for WD is due to over kill (3rd yr in a row) and lack of original content, some one with more knowledge than me will surly add to this.

The sheer scale of HHN will blow your mind, you will love it.

Maybe see you there

Clown house isn't an IP - we know that much. From what I hear, the "scariness" on that one could go either way...

Thanks for the pics, uoleaker

I love the idea of a 3D house based on evil clowns, which it looks like we're getting. I think Afterlife's theme/look was not the best choice for a 3D house, or maybe it just wasn't realized to its full potential. Now, clowns in a colorful and dizzying space would create the best setting for the "3D" effect. Also, selfishly, I would like it because I missed Jack's Funhouse in Clown-O-Vision (HHN XVII) since I only started going to HHN for XVIII.

Someone mentioned True Blood in the other thread and I gotta say I would dig this, too. Also, for selfish reasons :P I've been avidly following the show and the seventh (and final) season is starting next weekend, so if there was ever a time to do it, it would be this year. It could have elements of horror with the vampires and creatures, but also elements of comedy with the crazies and airheads that reside in Bon Temps, so it could even be a great "comedy house." But, being realistic, True Blood is probably a stretch.

Wait wouldn't a 3D house based on clowns be too similar to HOS?
