Possibly more of a test if it happens.

I've also heard there's been some discussion of rotating casts for houses... something that would be required for something... like... 41... straight... nights...

My issue with extending the event are contracts (which this year might have a clause calling for an extra weekend) and prep work for Christmas running into HHN deconstruction (mostly for Grinch). Not saying it won't happen as those are easy to solve.

Isn't Grinchmas in the TNA soundstage? Aka. The second one up front the south. There are no houses there, so how would it change anything.

I'll be the first to say I'm not the best at knowing where things are in soundstages so I can be wrong.

How bad should Sunday be then? Weekend is only time I can go due to work and I'll be 100% getting express and using stay and scream.

Even without UCF, Sunday will still be bad--Sundays have basically become the new #2 night, and you still have some local counties out of school Monday. That said, with S&S and Express, should have no problem seeing all the houses. Just expect jam-packed SZs.

Maybe they are paying for billboards in rememberabce/tribute to Pulse as the club is on Orange Ave.

14718774_345502632462230_1720907956819080017_n.jpg I'm wondering if this could potentially have anything to do with the reduced hours on the 4th and 5th? Also seems strange to add on another event if they're thinking of having HHN that day as well.

This is happening at 7am, and I'm sure the setup and breakdown for registration and anything else related to this will be quick. If HHN were to be extended, I doubt that this impacts it (or regular park hours).

That being said, is anyone thinking about doing this? My wife and I are considering it.

I thought something was odd a few days ago. I live in Pinellas and work in Hillsborough. Everyday on my way home I see a billboard for Halloween Horror Nights, until the other day when it was Screamageddon. The next day on the way to work I noticed HHN was back up on the other side (it's a double sided billboard). When I looked in the rear view mirror Screamageddon was gone.

Does anybody know if Universal uses a non-compete clause when paying for advertising? Not sure if it was a violation to have a competitor billboard within several miles of a HHN billboard.

I suppose it could be a case by case basis but the digital one on I-4 WB right around Kirkman cycles between HHN and HoS.

i wonder if someone just complained of how scary the billboards were maybe, they are still gone but there are no other billboards for any other events in the area. no HOS or anything. Those billboards by Orlange Ave are used for universal parks all year round (and used for HHN every year) but now they are empty.
just made me wonder because this is the first time i see them taking them out this early

Some random thoughts on HHN, mostly because I'm avoiding of the politics on every other social media platform:

(1) Definitely time to revoke Friday's "peak night" status. Crowds last night nowhere near Sunday or even Wednesday, especially early on. At 5:30, you could have rolled a bowling ball down the middle of Finns and not hurt anyone. Even by 7:30, Halloween and Tomb remained 5 minute waits. While it eventually got crowded, as every night does, never felt like the mass of people I saw earlier in the week.

(2) If we're renaming things, how about we do away with the doublespeak of "roaming hordes" which neither roam nor are that populous. How about "undecorated, undermanned scare-zones"?

(3) Not sure there has been anything as polarizing in HHN history as Ghost Town or the AoV show. Both seem to be love it ("the detail!") or hate it ("there's zero scares!") propositions.

(4) TWD may not be HOTY, but it's got a pretty strong lock on Cast of the Year.

Speaking of roaming hordes, are the cheerleader chainsaw ladies made up of active backup/fire crew? I ask because while I have made several visits to take photos I keep seeing new cheerleaders (I've only seen one consistently). I thought it might be a cast A/cast B issue but I've stayed around long enough to watch both (including the cast change).
