Speculation says there’s a IP zone (per usual) and a few zones featuring traditional Halloween characters (like Scarecrows, Trick or Treaters, etc.) with ghoulish twists!

At least that’s what I am lead to believe.

Traditional Halloween would be awesome. Interested to see what the IP could be as well!

I know we've been speculating this for a while, but hearing that it's info actually being talked about among "insiders" is really exciting. Hoping it turns out true, whimsical traditional Halloween stuff hits a soft spot for me.

Hoping it turns out true, whimsical traditional Halloween stuff hits a soft spot for me.

Yah there’s Halloween this year, but don’t expect all of it to be as whimsical and clear-cut classic as say Wicked Growth last year.

Again, I am expecting some *twists*!

I also don't know what else you really want from the Pumpkin Lord. They're not going to make him an icon, most likely, and god-like characters tend to not translate, anyway. He works as a big "oh my god" reveal at the end of a house that specifically builds to his appearance. Out of that context, I struggle to see what else they could effectively do with him.

I thought he was pretty cool. Wish he got a scare at the very end instead of the random pumpkin guy, but, yeah.

I feel like he really could be an Icon in many ways, having an icon being the literal roots of Halloween is neat his design is memorable to. It could of been for a number of reasons but the shirt he was on during 2020 sold out really fast compared to other items featured that year. The GP are pretty fond of him unlike the other non icons (ex. Bone and Terra).

If the heads went to creative and said to use him, they would find a fitting way. Just because we don’t see a reason to use him doesn’t mean that there isn’t one. We only know so much in the grand scheme of things.

What evidence do we have that the general public knows who he is, much less are generally fond of him?

Honestly the Lil boo connection is enough.
The creatives see that now because nothing has happened yet for them to see him as anything else.
We’ll see what happens though.

Lil Boo wasn’t connected, though. It became its own thing based on the fandom, not through any efforts from creative (outside its creation, of course).

I’d also say that we probably can’t rely on the 2020 shirt popularity as a metric due to extraordinary circumstances.

One thing I haven't seen as much spec on - have there been any rumors regarding zones outside of Scarecrow?

Yes. There has. But, frankly, none of the rumors seems to by hyping the insiders up that much. We’re not really discussing them at great length.

While we're on the discussion, since traditional Halloween seems to be the rumored theme for the year... What are the chances of Nathaniel Crowe making an appearance, whether that be as unofficial 'icon' (Bone), or as an official Icon (at last!)?
