I don’t like bugs, so no matter what size they are, I am terrified

I’m fine with bugs, but I’m kinda worried about how it’s done, because I think there’s a good chance my wife legit might not want to do that house lol she hates bugs that much.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I genuinely think it would be scarier if the bugs themselves are smaller than us.

I wasn't a fan of the zone, but I think a well-executed Vikings house could be really cool.

Honestly, I have seen a couple of Vikings houses and it always boils down to ship scenes, vikings in different states of being alive or dead and a bit of gore. I don't know how HHN could make that more interesting besides an amazing facade

That actually had nothing to do with it. That was just a popular theory that made rounds through the HHN fan circles.

The real answer is much more boring. USH wasn’t able to be open to fulfill the stipulations in the contract about the maze being open by a certain date. (Hence why UO got the one-off weekend in 2020).

It didn’t make sense to renegotiate for 2021 since, at that point, we were still dealing with a lot of unknowns of the pandemic.

I wish it was the newer movies. While I love the original, I just don’t like when HHN repeats stuff. I’m cool with same franchise if it’s a different movie or season or whatever but kinda bored by the same movie again. The first house of it was amazing though and yeah I do love Michael Myers. I just hope it feels different and distinguished from the 2014 house.

i mean that makes it better at least. Glad it’s not something from last year or two. Still would prefer something different. I acknowledge it’s cool for a lot of the newer fans who didn’t get to see it then, my wife included.

Halloween has always moved up every year on the location-scale. First, it was located in a small tent, then a larger location with the parade building, followed by a soundstage-like space with Shrek. Unintentional, yeah, however, I have a feeling IF Halloween is back again that trend might continue...

Point being, I tend to believe the speculation maps are not showing the right locations.

SO WHEN'S OUR NEXT ANNOUNCEMENT GUYS?!??!?!?!?

Just kidding. But, those scarezones on @MikePat 's spec map are pretty interesting, and I think they align with some scarezone rumors from way earlier in the season. I wonder if that "Trick or Treaters" zone is gonna essentially be an original version of the Trick r' Treat zone they did, or if it's gonna take the mutant trick or treater approach that was rumored on Twitter I think. I also feel like that unknown is gonna be an IP scarezone

This 100%. I think there is a good opportunity for some primal fear in this house. Lots of SIF, air blasts, constant directional buzzing noises, well done Bug Infestation decor, this house could really get into your head if they do it well.

They could also go the Tooth Fairy route and forego much of the promise of the horror concept (Dentist tools, buzzing noises of saws, gore and body horror) in lieu of a comedy or fairytale house. Hence, I believe we'll be getting "Attack of the 50-Foot Ant!" comedy house as much as I want "INFESTATION" the Hill House style psychological house. It just makes more sense given HHN's vibe as an event.
