That's correct. They did do a small section for it in the Silver Screams house though. It was done really well with the environment, sounds and actor looking just like MacReady. I'm sure if they ever did an entire house based on the original, they would do it justice! It's my favorite horror movie so I've been waiting for this house for the longest time.

I'm more interested in food/beverage booth location speculation. My HHN experience will be 100% better if they stop creating that bottleneck in Kidzone with the tents and bars right in front of the two parade house entrances.

We've gotten a "Sequel" in 2007, a nod to the original in 2009 in Silver Screams and Horrorwood Die In and a prequel in 2011. It'll happen one year, I don't think they're too hung up on it not happening because its possible, its just one of those properties like a Poltergeist and GB, where there is a time and year to really use it but also because they have a lot of other ips that are being thrown in their direction.

I'm in a position that may allow me to give you a heads-up on the possibility of that. Maybe not what Universal will bring in for sure, but at least what they may have access to. Right now, I haven't seen much beyond their current "Pool Pack" for interesting flavors.

I know they can work a miracle but given the supply chain issues they talked about for Hollywood, do you guys think it's possible to secure an IP, build the house, and get props/costumes ready for rehearsal in what? 5-6 weeks?

Thing is those potential supply issues would effect an original as much as an IP. Unless they did a sequel or prequel to a past original and reused a lot of the props they used prior.

IMO, if there were supply chain issues they wouldn't be removing things from a house- they would work with what they have as a last ditch effort.

The only supply chain I'd worry about this late are changes to merchandise. I doubt Universal would utilize a massive IP without selling merchandise.

He is a Sapphire Falls insider, from what I remember last year. Followed his house reviews.

A house based on the mine would have worked (just ghosts, no characters).

Not sure of Ghost Busters rights, but with the franchise now relaunched I can see them back at HHN.

Hatetofly was the 'ultimate Universal Insider', during the Golden Age of new Universal attractions and lands, a few years ago. He, @Teebin and @Disneyhead had the inside word on everything long before any others had an inkling.

I wouldn’t get hopes to high for an IP #1 originals are typically better because they can do what they want and like you said it’s more work. #2 I wouldn’t want one if it’s gonna be like US. It felt empty and last minute to me.

I'm not familiar with the lingo - what do you mean by "Sapphire Falls insider"?

Afterlife made $200mill at the box office, so I think people are definitely still interested in the Ghostbusters IP. I could definitely see it coming back

I feel honestly GB has a possibility to come back but honestly the long effort to bring it to the event was much of a headache I'm sure for them, I think one was good enough, we don't need a house for GB 2, the new film is good but as a full house, its not technically need it, I'd rather a new original take of the GB with the approval from the powers of be and Akroyd and Reitman's son involved and coming up with a story than the recent movie.
