I was going to bring this up for future event discussion, but the event was packed every night... which unfortunately has me worried about what the higher ups are potentially thinking. Do they continue to develop HHN with the similar formula/development style they've been using these past few years or do they modify their approach based on feedback.

The event was packed crowd-wise, but a few of the important profit centers like the bars & stores were quiet during the event. I can't imagine they're happy with that.

Just reading back up, but if food and merch was down, that would fit with what was seen at a lot of entertainment events in later summer and fall. The feel is that, with all of the uncertainty in the country, and with the overall cost of things stretching people's budgets, they were still going to events, but were spending less when they were there. So it may have had nothing to do with HHN itself.

I didn’t realize Whannell clarified a little with what happened with the M&G, and I don’t think this was shared here so…

Whannell described the design reveal as a "debacle", as Universal did it without discussing it with him or contacting the film's make-up artist, Arjen Tuiten; he unsuccessfully tried stopping it by calling Jason Blum and later retorted that it was "like judging the Freddy Krueger makeup by a costume at Spirit Halloween. You know what I mean? There's a lot more to it. I'm like, no, no, no."
