For the record, I think Gremlins would be the best play- create a haunt both funny and scary that fixes the complaints that everyone had about Chucky; a redemption arc that shows HHN won't abandon failed ideas, but continuously improve on them. It's the underdog idea that would probably surprise a lot of people, for the better.
But just looking at HHN throughout the last decade, American Werewolf, AVP, Poltergeist, Ghostbusters, if there's one haunt with big puppets and effects, that's normally it. Sure, some scenes in other haunts might have a wild effect or other puppets, but Midnight Snack 2 is a bedroom compared to an entire haunt. I'd love to be proven wrong, but to avoid the pitfalls of Chucky, Gremlins is gonna need a lot of moving parts to work correctly. HHN is still a business, and if the budget makes more sense for a bigger IP, I think that seals the deal, despite my personal beliefs about how the event should be.
Besides FnaF, what big headliners will be current horror properties coming out? Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, and Crystal Lake all have great potential, and Jordan Peele #4 (maybe) and Silent Hill (bolstered by the 400 games also coming out this year) could also be possibilities for return after both being dual-coast haunts in the past. Throw in another Blumhouse / Universal film, like Abigail, and I'd say that's a pretty good speculation pool for 2 or 3 more IPs.
Also, I swear I'm almost done rambling, isn't Peacock still losing money (albeit less-and-less by the day) so driving people to something streaming on that platform specifically, like Crystal Lake, might be beneficial.
