On the topic of Icons, it's worth noting that Fear's Lantern Realm (as featured in the ICONS Captured house) canonically exists directly underneath the park. So if we're getting some kind of icon tease, maybe one of the heralds is returning?

Fridays are seen as "dumps". Something you have to announce but don't want much attention since the weekend will be on the forefront of everyone's attention.

That is true also why does the door kind of look like something you would see in say a Insidious movie. Could be a reference to both of those things. Although if it was insidious the door would probably be red.

Someone brought up a good point about monsters making sense to be the announcement probably for next week because it could be given subtle hints at the Spooky Empire event apart of the HHN Panel in Orlando and you got Murdy in Hollywood who could piggyback on that and talk about it at Midsummer Scream. Its something to ponder.

Probably. They could announce the house at the panel itself. I believe they’ve done that in the past.
