I still hope they go the original-IP route for Fallout. Set it in Orlando too and go really meta with it. That would be so funny. If they adapt the TV show I'll be fine with that too but I think original-IP is the best way to go. You can include stuff from both the video games and the TV series if it's an original concept

Would be fun if the storyline is that you are part of a vault and decide to escape and see the world for yourself. Super simple and easy for Joe bloggs to follow, opens up the storyline nicely for lots of surprises, and gives a lot of room to breathe design wise whilst also retaining that naive humour from your “colleagues” who have lived a sheltered life

if they go the original route set in Orlando you could even have a scarezone And a house like they did back in 2010 with ZombieGeddon and zombie gras, where the zone and the house were connected, not necessarily in that same area, but imagine if you could do that and expand on the outdoors part of fallout.

That would be a great idea. I'm down for a Fallout scarezone tbh. If the house is in one of the SS's you could exit into the scarezone after the house and that would be really cool

Definitely treading into wish list/blue sky here, but I think Fallout would be a perfect IP to have a connected house and zone.

ESPECIALLY if the house takes place in a vault, and at the end you exit "into the wasteland"

(with the caveat that I do not want a house that takes place exclusively in a vault)

depends on the location but it would be so perfect. it would be so great. maybe the new York area.

The Rob zombie zone was close to the 1000 corpses house wasn’t it? I think it would have to be there or New York like you said. They would really have a lot of options to fill New York. Nuka World? Could you imagine the merch.

I found it a bit funny that Chances' house was at the back of the park while her zone was at the front, Fallout would be odd in the same regard, if the zone was in one spot while the other was a little further away from it, I mean at least Robs' zone was somewhat near.

Tbf that year the event WAS Chance, so having her zone be the first one you see was fitting

I do wonder if we'll have an icon this year. We've had one every year post 2021 (Pumpkin Lord, Oddfellow, Sinister & Surreal) so I would assume we will. But I hope it's more Oddfellow and less S&S. I liked those characters but they were very half baked and could've been written and implemented better into the event

Tbf that year the event WAS Chance, so having her zone be the first one you see was fitting

Yeah but I meant like the placement of her house being far from her zone was a bit of an odd choice, you'd think they'd have it near in possibly the Shrek building or one of the nearing soundstages to keep it together.

I missed the pumpkin lord year because of Hurricanes ( Along with Dead Man’s Pier (Sigh) )

Pumpkin Lord didn't have a huge presence outside of the entry zone, but the over-arching theme of classic Halloween iconography was very well integrated into all of the zones that year.

I absolutely loved 2022's event. We only got 1 night (thanks Ian) - but if we had gotten multiple, I could have easily seen it cracking my top 3 event years.
