Totally not lol

My wife and I worked at a haunt so it is very, very difficult to even get us with a jump scare in any of the houses. When that happens I'm very impressed lol

This is how I feel. After attending 12 HHNs, I tend to be pretty good at finding the boo holes and where the scares will come from. So when one gets me, it gets bonus points when I rank the houses.

A great example is Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers from HHN 28. I don’t think it has been considered a great house, but it got me a few times. So it was higher on my list for that reason.

Precisely.

The cast was very good - but frankly, I almost always find HHN casts to be very good, so that doesn’t really differentiate it. In terms of concept, set design, costuming, wit, etc, it just didn’t have a lot to offer.

I mean, who goes to a horror event to get scared? I’M certainly not the weird one for going to look at the pretty sets… right? Right?

I don't! haha

But I can acknowledge Insidious did bring the intensity; and while scares are always subjective, I do think if the house was in 32's lineup, it wouldn't have hit the same way.

All personal preference as it would of hit the same for me. Especially with duds like Chucky, and unpopular opinion, Dueling Dragons.. Didn't really like TLOU either.

But would you have it over houses like Exorcist, Oddfellow, Yeti, Bloodmoon, or Darkest Deal?

Probably tied with Exorcist, under Blood moon. The other, while very good, were not as consistently good.

Tbh the only truly bad house from 32 was Chucky. ST4 and TLoU weren't masterpieces but they had their moments. Both could've been better but I don't think they were bad houses.

Don’t slander my bro Bloodmoon like that.
It was my favorite house from 32 and broke my top 5 of all time.

Exorcist and Darkest Deal just edge it out slightly for me but I still love that house. That opening scene is burned into my brain lol

reviews were pretty poor overall. videos didn't look great either.

depends on the casts because both dueling dragons and last of us could be amazing or boring depending on the interaction. both those houses had some amazing actors. the sets for dragons were amazing.

what's your top 5?

and speaking of insidious, I never cared that much for the first house we had in 2015 much either. it was kind of generic. but it depends on the casts.

You can't judge a house entirely by a video. Watching a video of it on YouTube vs actually going through it are two completely different things. Also I know a lot of people here weren't the biggest fans of last year, but the reviews weren't "poor". Especially with the houses.
