How would you feel about just getting a normal ROF pass, and getting Express for 1 or 2 nights?

That's an option, too. Years ago I would just get an express for opening night but that was back when ROF was just two weeks and before my body starting falling apart. :lmao: And like it's been said here before, it's tough to plan these things without having all the pricing and information.

Yeah with crowds now, I can't imagine sliders being safe at all.

Definitely! We never know how much the multi-night tickets will be until maybe a month and a half before we arrive lol

There is a ton of them at HOS, but yeah, I imagine them at HHN would be crazy n dangerous now due to the crowds

You think so? I'll take your word but they are a mainstay at a ton of other haunted attractions. I think the only "downside" about it is that any scareactor doing it would either a) have to either be experienced in it already or b) they would need additional training -- the latter of which would really be the only reason I could imagine them saying no to the idea.

The crowding alone makes it a non-starter.

even if you could argue that it would be safe, there are just too many people for it to even be a worthwhile spectacle unless they cordoned off an alley to do a street show. it works great at events like Knott's Scary Farm because of the dead zones inside the park. I just can't see it ever coming back to an event as big, and crowded, as Horror Nights.

Fair enough! I've seen them at Knott's Scary Farm and that's had fairly heavy traffic but I guess HHN is growing bigger crowds than Knott's these days.

I can see theme being part of Nightmare Fuel *cough* sexy fire*cough* if we get again this year. Which by the fire on HNN spec map and the shows popularity I say its likely

The "Body Collectors" SZ in 2008(?) had them on Heelys to glide through NY to imitate the "floating" gimmick from Buffy Season 4.

Mary Shaw also got them for her appearance in the 2010 anniversary scare zone.

Forgot about that. Although I loved she had them in the 2007 house to glide past the corridor of windows. Never knowing which window she'd attack from!

Man, I know the name is synonymous with a Hollywood Scare Zone (which itself kinda looks like it had that same "old Victorian brick city & cathedrals" look of The Fallen); but the image on this Spec Map keeps conjuring up memories of the incredible Fever House novel by Keith Rosson. I read it a year ago and was very impressed with how it delivered on an "angels & demons apocalypse" plot but felt fresh & modern with the large scale of it's city & clandestine agencies.

Not that a random horror novel would ever be adapted into a house, but I'd enjoy that kind of vibe with an original concept in a soundstage.

I doubt this will happen and it a reach but with the ghost in the glass on the HNN spec map maybe it’s for the nun in a conjuring. Valak will be perfect for a floating effect.

If we're to take this symbol at face value the biggest thing that catches my attention is the city/tall buildings.

My guess is a something similar to Doomsday/Dark Torment.

I understand it's for a floating effect but the visual of Mary Shaw on Heelys made me laugh

Were there any stilt walkers this past year? I don't remember seeing any. I wouldn't be surprised if they're gone now too

Yes in Hollywood, and yes in Orlando in the houses (Garraka in Ghosbusters and El Silbon in Monstruous at least), though I think no in any of the scare zones.

As I've said, every season, and many other have said this year and past years as well: Multinight tickets being held back for so long really hurts the out of town die hards. And let's be honest, Universal has to love and want to cater to those people as they're the ones who party hardy, stay on site, eat all their meal on site, etc.

Like you look at annual music festivals. They put full weekend/event tickets on sale at a discount super early, then they announce a few bands and tickets go up a bit, then they announce more bands, then they raise ticket prices again, and then they announce the full lineup, tickets are more expensive...and THEN they release single day tickets.

Look at Epic, they did the same thing. Ticket bundles on sale first, then, eventually, single day tickets.

HHN does the opposite. It's really frustrating and I think it might cost them some money. Like last year we had the RoF date issue (which was equally my group's fault, I admit) where we had to reschedule our trip to get the most out of the ticket. We had to book more expensive flights, book an additional rental, etc...and it cut back our spending at the event. For the first time in over a decade, nobody in my group did the UTH tour. We also didn't do Stay & Scream at Finnegans every night, but had dinner at our resort and came late a few times.

Had the multinight tickets been on sale earlier, we'd have know the exact dates of the tickets, purchased them, then booked a single resort suite and gotten our great deal on airfare. Would have had a ton more budgeted/disposable dollars to blow at the event.

I'm not saying we need announcements sooner, we're going regardless, but to have your most loyal attendees, who buy the multinight tickets and dump the most money into the concessions on a nightly basis, over the barrel is crazy. It would be like dynamic pricing for any kind of concert/flight/sporting event making it harder to purchase tickets early and then making them more accessible the closer it gets.

And that concludes my rant for this year, stay tuned for my HHN35 rant coming in 12 months.
I'm with ya, brother! It would be MUCH LESS agita if we had our multi-night tix already. Also, every single year, we get more and more people asking to come along with us for one weekend or more. Some of them only have availability to do this a single long weekend, so if I knew the ROF dates and had access to those tix early, I could add in more people so they could get the most for their money. I've had other friends join and pay individual night tix with individual night express and it was INSANE. They could've had FFP+ with Express for what they paid! There needs to be earlier release of these tix. They aren't thinking about how many more might visit if those options were out sooner for travel planning. I'm dead serious here. I've created the HHN hype here in my little Chicago suburb, and every year, it's more people wanting to go. Isn't that the point?
