Not that this is the right thread for this convo, but Disney is not legally allowed to have any attractions based on Marvel characters in their parks east of the Mississippi (Orlando).

If the main icon is the Janitor, another possible back story is that the Janitor is a universal employee and has been sick and tired of cleaning up after everyone else the last 20 years of HHN, and now he wants to bring his own fear this year.


He's fully armed with clorox, a plunger, and urinal disks to bring terror to the hearts of people

Looking at the cast and especially Hollywood Scare Zone, I'm starting to think the houses and scarezones are going to be combined thrills of different most impacted years. Looking at hollywood it looks like all of HHN 18 is there. So I'm thinking the houses will be generalized into same themes of past years. Like the Military House will be mixed of diff Military themes from years past. A House of Jack will be all of his houses mixed together. Usher/Director/ and this projectionist all together in a house for a movie based house kind of deal. IDK just my speculation on how things are working out so far.

I don't think it will be quite like this. It's more of that Universal is bringing back the best haunted houses (Screamhouse, Body Collectors, Scary Tales, Psyhcoscareapy) than all of the icon's houses.

Well for HHN Sweet 16 they did they that and inserted the icons into those house..Jack in PsychoScareapy, Storyteller in Dungeon in Terror..so who knows this year.

personally a janitor does not seem scary to me. but then again frankenstein diddnt look scary but ended up being one of the best houses in 19.
i know we are all just speculating but if it turns out the icon is a janitor, this means HHN is turning into HOS. when the icons are fashion shows and rock stars.....

Did you think an Usher would be scary? Or a storyteller? Its a matter of how it is presented, and the House of Vayne were vampires with a fashionista cover, I thought it was brilliant and very creative.

i agree...i think its more about the story. if they make a pretty easter bunny - bite of your heads while you are sleeping...that would be scary. just look what they did with the christmas house a few years ago

The only thing new is the lantern. Click on it and a new page comes up stating "New Terrors are Developing... See for Yourself". There are photos on the floor and three of them are now clickable. There is an image of a skull and two blueprints.

I was looking at the three pictures for more details and noticed a few little things.

1) On the first blueprint, it says Lower Level. Does this mean the rumor of a two story house may be true after all?
2) On the same blueprint, the windows have bars covering them in a prison-like fashion. Maybe this backs up the prison house rumor.
3) As BriMan said, Shadow Creek sounds like a new location to me.
4) The image of the skull seems mummy-like to me. Maybe I'm over analyzing it. :shrug:

I strongly believe that their is no 2 story house but a 2 story facade where inmates or a guard will be standing walking back and fourth I think that Universal will not do a 2 story house for safety reasons a freak accident happens and the house falls that would probably end HHN . Shadow creek logo reminds me of the shady brook circle on the van maybe a new insane ward . That's my 2 cents

Also the house would not be ADA compliant, they would have to have a ramp or elevator for people in wheelchairs.

i know this wont happen, but i thought of dead exposure when i saw the pictures.
the 2 Xs on the lantern look like a door now.
