Not a fan of this at all. Wonder if there's a bunch of people who come off puking and they think that this will help to fix that?

My wife gets motion sick on most rides at Universal, but she likes this one. I think the pausing helps. She can’t ride Transformers or Spider-Man at all.

Kong removing its glasses first would be a better option than removing it from Gringotts.

I think it's ironic that Theirry leaves Friday and Monday there's rumors of removing 3D from Gringotts.

That wouldn’t fix USF’s “3D issue”

The only solution to USF's issues are bulldozers lol

Transformers, Fallon, Gringotts, and Minions are fine and high quality simulators. 4 screen-based rides are enough.

I think it will ruin the ride.

Besides how well the 3D works, the glasses hide a lot of ugliness that will become apparent.

This is penny pinching at the cost of guest experience and it's a slippy slope.

USF doesn’t have a 3D problem, it has a screen problem. Gringott’s is also probably the least offensive of the rides that use either.

Yes, 3D is not the problem here and the only way to really fix it is to install the coaster out the back door into the parking lot

I feel WB wouldn’t allow this, but it was removed from FJ in Hollywood…

It would be shocking to see Universal use Gringotts as a cost-savings change before another attraction. Unless Universal has a few aces under their sleeve, I'm not buying it.

Heck, we would all be content with F&F going seasonal for cost savings before changing anything at Gringotts.

I'm not the world's biggest Gringotts fan by any means, and even I think this would be a very bad move.

Of course I hope they don’t do it. But the rumor is it has been in consideration since the start of the year, and that 2D tests may have been done recently. If they’re testing it, I’m hoping they see that it’s not worth removing.

F&F and Minions losing 3D may have been nominal changes, but I feel on this one the 3D is far more integral.

It’d be wild to subtract anything from your main E ticket attraction of the last 10 years. Just, no.

Yeah, as you mention in your write-up, so much of the 3D footage was designed specifically for its usage as-such. Removing the 3D would likely throw off the scale of a bunch of elements in the footage. I think it would look really bizarre.

I don't have much to add here other than echo everyone else's feelings that this is a bad idea. Removing the glasses would make it very apparent that you aren't actually in a deep underground cavern.

We used to ride it multiple times per trip, but once they removed 3d we rode it once, and have never been back. It was one of the better 3d experiences I had been on.

No. Just no. Removing the 3D from Despicable Me was and still is baffling because it essentially ruins the experience. This would just be that X10 and doing it to the flagship ride of a park that has had a string of "meh" additions. Please no.

Don't know for Gringotts specifically, but if it is like Kong, then no.

Minions was always our last ride of the day (get in line 1 minute before close), then they removed 3D and I don’t recall the last time that I’ve been on it.

If they pull 3D here, Gringots will be in the same boat.

So today's leadership change with Uni Creative. Sounds awfully coincidental with the glasses experiment. Minions was a disaster, and the attraction isn't very good on the small USF screen without the glasses. Hope it's so bad on Gringotts that they cease the experiment.....Fear Factor empty, no parade yet, no nighttime show yet....damn, K. Irwin is really pinching pennies, even
with record profits.
