So usually I do two nights with no express. This year I decided to do one night with express. So I’ll definitely get all 10 done, but I usually want to do a few again, whether it’s because I felt I got a bad run, or because I really enjoyed it and wanted to see it again.

My plan was to S&S in Springfield. His SS2 and Museum and then run over and do Sweets (if the wait is reasonable) without using my express.

With the rumor of no Springfield, I wonder if I could do the same plan in SF, but the opposite direction. Do Sweets and then go back to SS2 and Museum if it’s reasonable.

Or should I S&S in SF and instead of Sweets (Which I assume most people will be going to), run over and do SS2 and Museum.

Those are my three most hyped, so that’s why my plan is to try to hit those earlier.

To answer the inevitable Hell Week question -- after a few years of staggering days off, the five closest counties (Orange, Oscelola, Seminole, Volusia, Brevard) have settled on Monday, October 14 as their in-service day. Which corresponds to Columbus Day up north. Expect a massively busy weekend with wall-to-wall middle and high school kids, particularly that Sunday.

In addition, Orange County (the one Orlando sits in and the biggest of the big three local) is off Friday, October 25, so expect a spike in kids that Thursday/Friday.

Finally Volusia (Daytona Beach) is also out Friday, September 20 and Polk (which is technically the Tampa market but at its closest <20 miles from Universal) has a half-day, so might see a spike that Thursday/Friday as well, but not to the level of the above dates.

lol… just checked and I’m going that Sunday … wish me luck

Do y'all think that this year will be synonyms to last year's event in terms of crowd levels? Usually, October is busier than September; however, last year proved to be otherwise.

Unknown at this time. There are no super “must-see” IPs that would crowd the event, and they’re still selling multi night tickets.

I’d plan and assume for high crowds and maybe be pleasantly surprised if it ends up not as crowded.

Anyone know why the ticket page for buying is down? It won't let me on it for a few days now and an error message comes up. Is this happing to anyone else? I already have my ticket and everything so no real worries.

I hope there is an inverse effect from the early crowds last year where people are scared off but I don't think the pricing has made much of any difference. I am deff worried being one of the first in line without express and having a plan wont actually be enough this year to get through it all. Last year express was oversold and thus not expensive enough nor limited enough which was most of the problem. post pandemic has been me barely scaping by when I used to make everything a meal and a few rides easy from the front of the stay and scream

While it's been mentioned in other threads, I figure this news can be important for the thread.

Regarding the exits for the Sprung tents, they are as follows...

Slaughter Sinema 2 and Museum exit into the Simpsons ride plaza via the new path to the immediate left of the ride.

As for Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines and Goblin's Feast, there's a whole new backstage setup for those. You enter via the gate between FFL and MIB and walk behind MIB to where the new tents are. This is where the queue portals are, so you can easily pick which house you want to go in from there. And both houses exit back into the same area, allowing you to immediately hit up the other house and vis versa without having to re-enter the park! Whenever you want to go back to the park, you make a return trip back to the gate between FFL and MIB.

Is that where that new concrete pad is? Are there food and drink booths available in this common area?

I think getting these done relatively early is a good stradegy given how much walking is a problem between houses. I plan of getting the earliest houses at 5:15 done in the fornt and then heading straight back.

Yup, it's where the pad is.
And no, but there are temp bathrooms.

NY S&S opens up at Minion Cafe this year. The old statue plot is just a gated area for the Major Sweets line.

These are the S&S areas.

I am curious to anyone that went last night what houses the areas dumped into.

I’ll add my question, too, for any of you going this weekend.

Simpsons was my favorite place to chill out and eat during Stay & Scream. Do they still let you go over there once you check in?

I was told they did but I didn’t try it. I didn’t do S&S last night.

New York has one line for AQP (5:30 opening), one line for Major Sweets (5:45 opening), and Insidious/Ghostbusters both had a combined line where they let you choose when you got to the entrance part since they both open at 5:15. I'm assuming the World Expo/Simpsons one had lines to Goblin's Feast and Eternal Bloodlines since they were the houses opening early back there.
