While it is a fact Scream was supposed to come in hhn 25, it's not a fact as to why it was cut, I believe the reason you gave is the reason it didn't happen and the reason why I think Scream will never come back to horror nights, but we can't say it's a fact

I believe murdy mentioned that scream has copyright issues because it has two owners I don't know if he meant the show or movie,If Parisian Courtyard returns that would make 7 mazes ...But is it returning?

I really would enjoy MTV Scream being a house. There's been some insane kills on that show and some really cool environments. (My favorite being Will's from season one because there were chunks which made it extra brutal.) Everyone wants to crap on it, but it's not like it's a remake or a sequel? It's its own separate thing and the only similarity is there's a killer in a mask and the name of the show. (The Halloween special was dumb, though. Super dumb.)

I would imagine that the Egg/Chest Burster scenes would be easy; due to the fact that Alien has been at the event before and has had those in the maze it was in (including the Face Huggers). As for Stranger Things, to which scene of the "Light Scene" are you talking about? and as for Scream, that'd be as easy as taking candy away from a baby in a way.

Ring, they could do it to where perhaps the monitor/TV is attached to the wall and it's somewhat cut out so an actor can jump through the TV, almost like the bed from AHS in a way, just in a different context. And as for Poltergeist, by what effect are you talking about? If your talking about the white ghost, digital mapping may be the trick as that'd be simple but great in effect.

As for what I think it could be? That, I am not sure of.

Maze #2 Codename: "Charles"

People are saying "Child's Play" because of Charles Lee Ray or the actual name of Chucky which in my opinion could be tricker than "The Exorcist". With the Costumes and Scare Actors plus Source Material would be pretty hard. Also there are some pretty iconic Scenes in "Child's Play" that would be hard to pull off. However "Charles" is probably something much more complex.

If this is Child's play, is it the first movie or the new one? Murdy will not deceive me!!! I am examining this tweet with my hyper-realistic eyes!!! (I think the scene is when Charles dies and transforms into Chucky)

Most of us were thinking Hellraiser was maze 2 and I think I found a connection for Charles, but then again we don't have any hints so it's just taking shots in the dark.

Hellraiser had its first showing on September 10th 1987 at the Prince Charles Cinema

If it were to be Chucky it would be the first one because it has a lot of iconic scenes and we haven't seen anything from the new one. Also the increase of Chucky Merchandise makes also believe that we will be getting him this year in some form.

Good Connection but I can't see "Hellraiser" as Maze #2 for the simple fact that I can't think of any scenes from the film that is both Iconic and Tricky to pull off. I'm not placing my foot down yet on "Charles" being "Child's Play" or "Hellraiser" until later but time will tell.

It'd be a smart move to advertise Cult of Chucky but I feel like doing a house on the original would come out much stronger and it'd feel very fresh even if we've seen Chucky at the event before. I always thought Universal never owned the first movie though?

Also Murdy is doing a Q&A, hurry and get some of your curiosities quenched!!

To round up..

  • Jurassic Park Overflow will be used again (It is also the next house treatment)
  • John is hoping to keep the maze count at seven mazes
  • No 3D Mazes
  • Another "Gauntlet" experience is as of right now, undetermined
  • Scarezones come after the maze treatments
  • The first codename relates to a filmmaker as the second relates to an property but on a personal level
  • Maze 2 is something that Murdy is excited about; as he never thought he'd be able to tackle it
  • No Original mazes
  • SS 747 chances of being used are not likely (It's wise to expect something similar to FvJ's Tent Location)
  • John isn't looking into doing repeats like AvP

well looks like my theory is out, was good while it lasted, time to start looking again.

But as john said when I asked him if Charles is new to HHN or has it been seen before, "everything old is new again" and I think that's a good clue for Chucky since it's had now a four year break from the event so it has history at the event but not maze history, as his funhouse was only a house of horrors overlay, thus a way of taking something old and making it new

It seems like our best bet is to look into property owners/creators/producers/directors (!!!!!!) rather than looking at the actual movies themselves.

Phew... Cabin Fever is out then! Would have rather seen something better.

EDIT: Also... No IT this year... Stephen King properties out of the question  :(

Kinda expected that so I'm not too shocked. I always heard that King was a bit protective of his rights and hates the idea of them being at any event.

Murdy has also seemingly hinted at 7 mazes again.
