I went the other day as a walk in and waited 2 hours. Keep in mind it broke down a few times and someone lost their phone and had to go back through to find it...

Honestly I thought it was worth it. Im really excited for It and the scenic was delightful. Not super scary, but scary enough to keep me going until HHN...

Eh, that's why I'm gonna head to Universal after. If I get there and the line is completely atrocious, I'll just head a few minutes up the 101 and spend my day there. If anything, I wanna get some cool pictures of it.

The sets were really well done! It was just annoying to see so many Spirit animatronics. That being said it would be really cool if other studios start making similar pop up haunts for their horror movies due to its popularity

I heard the It experience was really good aside from a lack of scares; so excited to see what HHN does with It next year

AHS: Roanoke or Saw; I'm leaning towards Saw since 09 and 2010's mazes were pretty intense

Also, which maze do you guys think has the most potential to be a dud(not trying to be a pessimist just trying to see opinions)?

Here's an idea to everyone, how about we don't speculate about 2018? We are now well under a month away from the start of the start of the event; and that it's not needed. I would assume a proper thread will start after the 2017 season is over, but it would be far more of a wiser choice to not speculate of what's next, until after the event.

Personally I think Ash vs Evil Dead might be the dud this year; I have hope it'll be good but from what Murdy was saying it seems like a lot of stuff to fit into a maze

Lets postpone all 2018 speculation at least until all mazes for 2017 have been announced...

Honestly, if I had to rank from best to worst prediction.

1.) AvED
2.) AHS
3.) ToT
4.) Blumhouse
5.) Insidious
6.) Saw
7.) Shining

I have quite a few fears regarding Shining. some I have had ever since it was rumored.

My predictions for best to worst mazes are:

(1) Blumhouse of Horrors
(2) AHS
(3) Shining
(4) Saw
(5) Insidious
(6) ToT
(7) Ash vs Evil Dead
(8) Walking Dead

I don't think any of the mazes will be bad this year as they all look promising, but some of them will definitely outshine others

1 shining - need i say more
2 saw - look it's in a new and bigger location and it will have new traps,
3 ash vs evil dead - we finally get a classic evil dead house,
4 ahs - last year was good but since it's focusing on only 1 season i hope they do it justice,
5 insdious - based off footage every insidious has was scary, but since the movie only comes out next year idk,
6 blumhouse - im sorry but after all these rumors of some movies getting removed i just pray that they do sinister right
7 tot - it's a last minute replacement so don't know

100 walking dead

I am definitely most excited for AvED after speed watching the whole show, but I'm also worried it will let me down the most due to how much content they're likely going to leave out. I would guess the one second most likely to be a dud for me has gotta be Blumhouse, it's really starting to seem lackluster to me with the inclusion of Happy Death Day.

It makes sense why Blumhouse has Happy Death Day(promotion for the film) but movies like Split, Paranormal Activity, or Green Inferno would've been sooooo much scarier. At least Get Out and Sinister made the cut, those movies alone will make the maze good. Ouija would've been good but would have given an Exorcist vibe and might've felt too similar to last year's maze

I don't think I can do a ranking at the moment, but I honestly think Insidious and Titans of Terror will do a lot better than what most people here think. The titans have always been hits with fans (horror fans, regular people who attend HHN just for the Hell of it, forum fans), and Insidious mazes have usually been the most intense ones. The two I'm worried about are Ash vs Evil Dead and Blumhouse. I'm honestly looking forward to Blumhouse, but at the same time it can be pretty problematic and may result in people (non-forum fans) getting confused. Ash vs Evil Dead, though it seems to have potential, I have fears it may turn out like From Dusk Till Dawn, where it doesn't leave an impression, because subconsciously people are comparing it to the film franchise, like FDTD, and it may be our one maze this year that overdoses on mannequins, giving us a repeat of 2013's Evil Dead (which I thought was pretty good, but understand people's complaints about it). Hopefully the only dud this year will be TWD though.

I'm waiting till everything is announced before I make my most anticipated list. You never know how excited you will be for something until you see details on it.

(back at it again listening to "Breaking Free". It's part of a broadway soundtrack so...)
I am very concerned about the last section of The Shining. It looks like it will be a "confusing mix of blackout walls and hedge maze themed wall panels."
