Murdy just tweeted that Krampus is opening up at 6:45!

Adding:  Wait time for Exorcist is already 35 minutes at 6:08 PM.  I guess either everyone went to line up there, or Uni is just expecting that.  Hopefully someone can update as to when the walk to the backlot is open.

Is Exorcist as good in the afternoon as it is at night? Thinking of hitting it up first during early entry.

I don't really want to post my thoughts just yet as I have not seen everything, but I would like to retract my meh reaction to the freakshow facade. In show lights that scene is absolute perfection.

Went last night, and didn't get to do everythingthing, but I was very disappointed with the handling of the lines into the event (at the main gate), getting to the backlot, at Walking Dead, and the Terror Tram.

I don't know about anyone else, but I found the lines to get into the event at about 6pm were incredibly slow.  It's as if no one at the turnstyles knew what they were doing.  It took nearly 15 minutes to process 20 people.  Almost a full minute to process every person, really?  Did anyone else experience that?

Then in an effort to get to the backlot at about 6:20, there was a huge line down the middle of the lower lot that wasn't moving.  It was totally unclear that was the line of people waiting to be let into the backlot.  And having that and the entrance to Exorcist be so close meant there was a lot of line cutting of people "going" to Exorcist but then just jumping into the line for the backlot.  They need to work out that line management.

Also, the Walking Dead line often did not move at all for long periods of time--a total contrast to how it moves during the daytime.  So much so, there were large numbers of people backing through the line just to exit it because they were frustrated by the lack of movement.  And the Gate A line was all the way back to the main entrance sign.  If had bought a Gate A ticket, I would've been extremely upset.  All I could tell is that they were holding people back for a long time, and then trying hard to give a very long "no phones, no pictures" speech to each group which really couldn't be heard anyway.  I really hope they improve that process.

On the Terror Tram, the line did move very well to get on the tram.  I liked the idea of the CryptTV partnership to play horror movie shorts in the queue... but they were totally spoiled by the incessant directions of a TM remaining on her intercom yelling, "Move all the way down...  move all the way down....yassssssss... byeeeeeeeee.... move all the way down.... just keep walking, just keep walking, just keep walking.... yassssssss....".  Never got to hear any audio from the movies in the queue.  I mean, I know she needs to keep people moving, but hearing that constantly for 20 minutes was pretty annoying, especially if you were wanting to listen to the audio from the movies.  Again, if I were the CryptTV sponsor, I wouldn't be very pleased about that.

Plus, once we arrived to the walking area of the Terror Tram, the bottlenecks were also very long and constant.  I hate to say it, but maybe there are too many trams dropping people off?  I'd rather wait longer in the queue with the movies (minus the TM's audio, lol) and be able to walk more briskly through the maze portion without the back up.

All that said, the mazes I got to experience last night (FvJ, AHS, WD, TT, Purge Gauntlet) were great!  Well, WD was good.  A few surprises, but not much if you've done the daytime version if you ask me.

The biggest surprise for me was the Purge Gauntlet... I really like this idea of a one way, massive scare zone.  It's a great way to get scares, and there was no line for it at all, and really not that many guests in it.  I think the problem is the entrance to it is not super clear, and the fact that it's not on the wait times list may be meaning a lot of people are forgetting that it's there.  But as I continue to use my frequent fear pass, I can see myself going through that a lot, because I can get lengthy scares without the 2+ hour wait.

While I don't get to go to the event this year, thanks to the powers of YT; I want to just give some thoughts on what seems to be the case for TT and The Killer Quartet..

Eli Roth's Terror Tram

Essentially, I'll say it simply; it feels much more like an actual maze this year compared to year's prior. There seems to be a much larger attention to detail, and I'm not sure if that's because John, Chris, and the Art team at USH are working with Eli, the budget has gone up or both but it definitely shows. It's a breath of fresh air that I'm happy to see finally come around for the TT, as I'm sure people will be happy with the cut of the backwoods and going to a path that mixes that and somewhat a path from year's prior (finally using the road again..).

Even though it wasn't marketed when the website came up, I now see why. I see this as the start to make the Terror Tram much more than just a walk through the Bates Motel and War of the Worlds sets; as hopefully if this is popular enough, with an original character (somewhat original..); we could hopefully see more Semi-Original content again, perhaps a house or something.

The Killer Quartet (Halloween: Hell Comes to Haddonfield, TCM: Blood Brothers, FvJ)

I'll be honest here, once word got out that all four of the classic Slashers that HHN has seen would be coming did surprise me. The New Line Trio is back as The Shape tags along in a form of Quartet of horror (and not that Titans of Horror nonsense..) and I'll say this about the following.

I was interested to see what they could do with an original take on the TCM series, I was excited to see an IP from Orlando come to Hollywood (even though the two have been to Hollywood) and that I was excited to see an continuation on one of last year's most reported favorite houses. And to me, it lies down to one thing. How well they handle it. To me, it's what makes these mazes that much more special in my opinion.

I'll start with Halloween. My, it really seems like they tried getting every kill from the classic sequel, even some that I'm surprised by got into play. It did it's part as the house was a great tribute to the sequel, as they used the space brilliantly. I won't spoil the ending, but it's a very interesting play on what John Commented about with not being able to kill the boogeyman, as this maze is very much showing The Shape (or Michael Myers) at peak form. It also feels like a sendoff to the character, as I'm not going to be shocked that he is going to be rested for a while at the event, as I don't blame John and Chris about that..

Next is Texas. Now, I was able to experience the 2012 maze but not the 2007/2008 maze, so I can't comment about that. But from what I remember of the 2012 maze, it was to me; the maze that I was scared the most in. Perhap's it was before a cast change and they we're giving that they're all, but it did it's part in a great way to me. So when it was announced along with FvJ to be coming to the event in Waterworld's venue, I was skeptical; only because of the venue itself to me. But from what it seems, it fills in that timeskip quite nicely, giving us more of Leatherface and more on Chop Top and the family. It uses the most that the area can give and I see that very much. It would probably terrify me if I went through the house myself, mainly due to just the material of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre being more terrifying and horrifying than I'd say The Exorcist (shots fired).

Finally, FvJ. The one IP that fans in Orlando seemed ok when entering got me..a bit worried. But, this is Hollywood; and they seemed to have the extremely better AVP house over Orlando (probably due to being so close to Fox aswell on that one..) so I had hope to see things go out in a good way..and boy. I have to say, this seems to be a great house. The façade, I have commented on being on par with some of Orlando's facades in general. The attention to detail is uncanny, and it really feels like something unique for Hollywood, maybe a bit more than AVP I'd guess. It pits the two of the most iconic slashers at the event against eachother as after watching Orlando's from last year compared to this year; it's an improvement.

Essentially, it seems that Murdy, Chris, and the entire Art Team have knocked out the Killer Quartet in a way that I am borderline giddy to see. It gives those that experience of seeing four of the most iconic slasher's in the horror industry that chance up close and personal; as I can't wait to hear what other people have to say..even though I can't go physically, it's fun to comment on it the best I can.

Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to just get some thoughts off my chest, to what seems like a great year for the event.

Here's my in-depth super duper high detail full review.

Exorcist and Terror Tram are skip-able this year. The rest of the mazes are fantastic. The entry-way purge scare zone seems a bit more energized than year's past and The Walking Dead Attraction is immensely more tolerable with more zombies. Jabbowokeez, another fun show if you're fine watching people dance and not talk for 30 minutes.

The end.

Even though we did take advantage of Early Entry, didn't go on any rides, and stayed through Chainsaw Chase-Out, we still didn't get to experience The Exorcist and TCM.  We still had a great time kicking off the Halloween season with a nicely paced evening that didn't feel overwhelming and the mazes we did get through were great.

Opening night ended up being a sell out, as well as parking options other than General Parking before 5:30pm (we asked for valet instead and our feet thanked us on the walk back at 2am).

Our plan was to start in the Backlot and work our way forward, but the walk to the area didn't open as early as advertised (nor was the queuing well organized), so we missed a key moment to jump into the line for The Exorcist first before it ballooned into the triple digits.  I would definitely hit this maze up first for the evening if you're trying to do all of them on a GA ticket.

The flow that the park guides you into after the two Purge scarezones on the Backlot is to go through Krampus, F vs. J, and AHS to avoid backtracking.  Based on the popularity and wait times, it should actually be experienced in the reverse order, which is what we did.  I never saw the wait times for Krampus get longer than an hour and were able to get our postcards from the frozen delivery guy out front at around 8pm.

The longest wait we had was for Halloween, where it was posted at 45 minutes just before 9pm but ended up actually being 75 minutes.  I've read similar complaints of wait times being two to three times longer than actually posted.

The production value for the Terror Tram sets was of high quality, although the massive amounts of people being herded through with little organization was ultimately disappointing and sullied the experience.  We spotted Log Bunny, which confused the people behind us when we pointed it out, haha!

Because of all the activity on the Lower and Back lots, the wait times on the Upper Lot were relatively low during the middle of the evening, so we actually did TWD even though our original plan was to skip it.  We accidentally jumped into The Purge: Gauntlet of Fear one-way scarezone while looking for TWD, and I was impressed by the concept and execution.  Not that many people were going through it, and it felt like a bonus-maze.  It was much better than the two scarezones on the backlot.

We caught the 12:30am showing of the Jabbawockeez show, which I enjoyed as a fan, and after that we took our time going through the stores and waiting for Chainsaw Chase-Out rather than try and jump in the 90 minute line for TCM.

We'll be back to close out HHN on November 5th with FOL, which we bought tickets for while the F vs. J queue at 7pm.  We knew there was no way we were going to be able to get everything done, even that early into the evening.  It made our night much better knowing we wouldn't be foolhardy like waiting in a 140 minute line for The Exorcist.

So I also went yesterday and managed to do everything, plus all of the backlot mazes twice. I have to say that Halloween II was definitely my favorite maze this year with Freddy vs. Jason not far behind.

Exorcist: I don't think that it was as bad as people have been saying and I actually enjoyed all of it, other than the empty black hallways. And I haven't seen the movie either. The head-spinning scene was done exactly as I expected, and I don't know why I've heard complaints on here from so many people. I don't see how else they could've done it. Though despite the fact that I enjoyed it, I wouldn't suggest waiting too long for it.

American Horror Story: This maze was very well-done, and super long. Despite the fact that I have never watched a single episode of the show, I really enjoyed the maze. The sets looked great and I really enjoyed going through it. (And this isn't really related to the maze itself, but I also met the actress who plays "Pepper" in the show, and that was really cool, even for someone who doesn't watch the show!) Overall, I thought that it was very well done and had a great number of scares.

Freddy vs. Jason: Absolutely loved this maze. I loved everything from the facade to all of the great scares inside! You get to be caught in the middle of Freddy and Jason fighting to the death, and I won't say anymore than that to avoid spoilers, but it was an incredible maze. I also got to see both endings to the maze, so that was really cool as well! Do not skip this maze!

Halloween: Hell Comes to Haddonfield: This was by far my favorite of the night. I recently watched Halloween II, so being able to experience the events of the movie in person was incredible. The hot tub kill involved real water, which I wasn't expecting at all, and I thought that it was cool to see this in a maze. The entire maze was incredibly well-done, and I thought that the ending to the maze was great as well (I won't spoil it though!) Just make sure that you experience this, whether you have seen the movies or not.

Krampus: Krampus does not disappoint. It was much scarier than I expected, and I loved it! The sets looked great, and I loved looking at all of the little details as well. It's a beautifully well-done maze with plentiful scares, and I highly recommend that you go through it. It had one of the shortest wait times all night long, so feel free to go through it multiple times to pick up all of the little details and of course, more scares.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: I wasn't sure of what to expect from this maze, but I honestly think that this one was one of the scariest simply because of its length. It was wayyyyyyy longer than I expected, which made it all the more terrifying. The sets looked great, and the props were very gruesome to say at the least. I haven't seen the movies, but I understood the overall storyline and I think that it was presented well, especially in a space that I (once) thought was small. I wouldn't say that it was one of my favorites, but I enjoyed it overall.

Eli Roth Presents Terror Tram: Most of my problem with this year's Terror Tram wasn't the theme itself, but it was the way that crowds were handled. it took over thirty minutes to make it through simply because we were backed up from around the corner of the Bates Motel, all the way through War of the Worlds. And it didn't help that a tram in front of us broke down as well, so that was a bit annoying. I liked the storyline and the scares themselves, and I definitely prefer the new route over the old one, although I think that I enjoyed Terror Tram: Survive the Purge much more. Beware of the backup here, and I'm not sure if I would do this again because of my bad experience. I wish I could have legitimately enjoyed it, but the crowd flow discouraged me from truly enjoying this year's theme.

The Walking Dead Attraction: It's not much different from the daytime version, and I honestly think that the nighttime version should be the daytime version. Most of the scares were the same, although there were a few walkers added in some of the scenes. I wouldn't suggest doing this at Horror Nights unless you've done everything and you're trying to kill time.

The Purge Scarezones (Including Gauntlet of Fear): Now I was very impressed with all of them. Especially Gauntlet of Fear. It was long, had a generous number of scares, and it had no wait every time that I went though it. Definitely make time to go through this scare zone at one point (or more!) The backlot scarezones were enjoyable too, and I thought that the costumes were great. Overall, I really loved The Purge's appearances here this year, and whether you're a fan of The Purge or not, you'll enjoy it.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience this year! If you haven't gone yet, I'd suggest that you put Halloween: Hell Comes to Haddonfield, Freddy vs. Jason, Krampus, and American Horror Story at the top of your to-do list, and enjoy! This year's a great one!

Lord have mercy, The Exorcist has a 3 hour wait. AHS got close, maxing out at 2:40.  Crazy.

I did general admission on Friday and front of the line yesterday. The lines have been CRAZY. American Horror Story and The Exorcist are hands down the most popular and I have seen them reach almost 3 hour wait times. I'm going back on a Saturday in the middle of October with just regular admission and I'm scared how long the lines are going to be then!

Was blessed to have done 5/6 of the major mazes yesterday on a general admission ticket, along with Jabba and two rides as my group was tired. Anyways, it's a spectacular year, in my opinion, it lives up to the hype, and I loved Jabbawockeez this year, way more colorful and way more fun. Here's my review of the mazes, with the exception of AHS as it never dropped below 2 hrs. 30 mins (also decided to skip Terror Tram):

The Exorcist - A very bizarre maze, in the sense that it's not usually what HHN does, and the black hallways do seem to work on the general public, (hell it got me at most points) but once we were exiting, you could tell just how polarizing the maze was. However attention to detail was there, and while the execution could have been better, it just wasn't there. There are some effects that are just straight out creepy though. 7/10 for me.

Freddy vs Jason - Favorite maze of the night, no punches were pulled and I may sound biased since I'm a huge NOES fan but Murdy made my dreams come true with this one, the effects were really cool, and everything worked smoothly when I went in and there are SO many scares! The scene where you have to go directly through Freddy and Jason while they stare at you was menacing as well, but damn, it was awesome! Loved seeing 1428 Elm Street too, did not expect to see it make it in. 10/10, Jason also won when I went in, but Freddy still got the last laugh out of our group (if you go in you know what I mean).

Krampus. A huge disappointment, but the facade is beautiful, it's outstanding, but overall the maze was short and fell flat on scares, but immersing into this world was really fun, not a single black hallway and really cool scents, but I'll be honest, not worth waiting over 40 mins. for. 5/10

Halloween: I loved the ending to this maze! The environments were also spectacular and I saw almost every kill from the movie made it in here (didn't catch one, but I must've been distracted), it was a really fun maze and while the wait time posted 85, I only waited 10, (which made me wonder about AHS) so I was stoked, the ending was also really cool and the soundtrack was awesome. Michael Myers once again is everywhere. A huge step up from last year's maze but scares were minimal on some parts. 7/10

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Terrifying, if one word could describe it, it was this, I got every scare in the maze to a point I even had to crouch. It was also longer than I anticipated as others have said and I was glad it did not suffer from the same awkwardness that Halloween did last year due to its placement on the Upper Lot. It's also just really... weird. All together weird. Kudos to the cast for staying at the top of their A-Game even after the park had closed, and it was a very well done maze. 9/10

Hoping to head back around the end of October/ November to finally get AHS in. Don't miss out this year!

So I decided I would finally join Ushforums. And can give my opinion on Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood 2016 last night!

Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood 2016 (9/17) Review:

Early Entry:

So we arrived just a little bit early around 3pm and decided to hang out. They then let us in at 4pm. We decided we would just go get our Front of the Line Credentials and go eat. Waited in line to go to the backlot around 5pm. They let us in at 6pm. We did the everything in this order American Horror Story - Krampus - Freddy Vs Jason - The Exorcist - Halloween Hell Comes To Haddonfield - Eli Roth Presents Terror Tram - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Blood Brothers - Jabbawockeez - The Purge Gaunlet of Fear - The Walking Dead - Then Left. Got everything done with Front of the Line by 9:40pm. Okay so let's start. (Keep in mind also I will be rating this mazes in best to worst even if I loved each and every one of this mazes which I did I still feel as though giving a grade is apporiate).

Mazes (Best To Least):

1. "The Exorcist" - So yeah I do very share a unpopular Opinion. But I think the negative reviews from employee preview night was because it wasn't opening. People will be very diversed on this maze. For me this was the best of the maze of the night and let me tell you why. I just loved every second of it. From the opening room to the last room it was fantastic. This truly has some of the best scares in my entire life and I don't consider myself a screamer but man it was terrifying! The Costume Design was fantastic! Pazuzu looked exactly like from the film. A lot of the bedroom scenes were great. Also it was also good that all of the effects were working when I went in. The Set Design is also really Amazing! Although it does have a lot of black walls I don't mind them if they are used in a good way and not randomly. Overall I really did love Exorcist it was a fantastic house and I can't wait to see what everyone else thinks of it!

Maze Design: 5 Out Of 5

Costume Design: 5 Out of 5

Scare Rating: 5 Out of 5

Grade: A+

2. "Freddy Vs Jason" - If I had one word to describe it would be energetic. This maze has a lot of energy. It is a very much fun maze with great scare actors. The Friday the 13th bit of the maze was really great! But I really just loved the "Nightmare on Elm Street" Portion of the maze. That was great! As I was saying it was energetic there are a ton of scare actors in the maze. Speaking of Scares the Scares in here absolutely Great! There is more of a Freddy maze than a Jason maze which I loved. The Sets are incredible! And look directly from the film. And the costumes is the icing on the top which are fantastic. These next few mazes may not deserve this grades but I had too much fun in this Maze!

Maze Design: 5 Out of 5

Costume Design: 5 Out of 5

Scare Rating: 4.5 Out of 5

Grade: A+

3. "Halloween Hell Comes To Haddonfield" - Let me tell you I was not expecting it to top last year's maze but it did! There are so many great moments in this maze that it is unbelievable. First off all of the Kills from "Halloween 2" are in the maze. All of them are Great! The Scares are off the charts as usual the scares are fantastic! The Set Design was really Amazing and it exactly like the film. The Costume Design doesn't look exactly like the Michael Myers Mask but it looks good! What really sells this maze to me is the ending. The Ending is amazing and the best from this year. The first room has all these neon pumpkins and has a slow motion version playing of "Mr Sandman" which was great! Then you enter a pumpkin and encounter Michael Myers one last time before exiting. The Smell of the maze is great which at the end smelt great because it smelt like Pumpkin Spice. Overall "Halloween Hell Comes To Haddonfield" is a achievement in Mazes and will be loved for the reminder of the event!

Maze Design: 5 Out of 5

Scare Rating: 5 Out of 5

Costume Design: 4.5 Out of 5

Grade: A+

4. "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Blood Brothers" - Hearing about the rumors of "The Conjuring" originally suppose to be in this venue and got changed last minute by Tcm really worried me about the maze. But thankfully I was proven wrong. The Maze is Amazing! The Scares in here are absolutely Fantastic! While I didn't get scared it was quite entertaining to watch the group in front of us scream at every Scare. The Costume Design was also really fantastic as well! The Maze Design is really great! Although at a few scenes it didn't look the greatest it was good! But what sells this maze to me is the soundtrack. It has this weird trippy Soundtrack that really helps with the tone of the maze and is great! Overall "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Blood Brothers" was really fantastic!

Maze Design: 4 Out of 5

Scare Rating: 5 Out of 5

Costume Design: 5 Out of 5

Grade: A+

5. "Krampus" - Krampus was really amazing! But isn't one of the best or a favorite of mine but I still loved. With myself loving "Dark Christmas" Scare Zone I would wonder what they would do next with "Krampus" and so they decided to do a maze on the really good film. The Costume Design is amazing and looks directly from the film! The Maze Design is absolutely amazing as well and probably one of the visually best mazes this year! And the scares were Meh people didn't get scared and I didn't either. Overall "Krampus" isn't really all that Scary but everything kind of makes up for it.

Maze Design: 5 Out of 5

Scare Rating: 3 Out of 5

Costume Design: 5 Out of 5

Grade: A

6. "American Horror Story" - Look I love "American Horror Story" and these maze has great moments but was one of the more weaker ones. If you are a fan of the show you will love this maze because it has scenes you remember and little easter eggs that are cool to seek. The Maze Design is also one of the best this year it is fantastic! The Costume Design is also really Amazing as well. The Scares are good not great but good. However the flaws I have are 2 the facade which is the most lazy and frustrating facades I have ever seen in my entire life. And the Freak Show segment being the best one but also being way too short. Overall "American Horror Story" was amazing and was a great maze but has its flaws.

Maze Design: 5 Out of 5

Costume Design: 4 Out of 5

Scare Rating: 3.5 Out of 5

Grade: A-

7. "The Walking Dead" - Yes I am including this and I know this is kind of a easy target but I really do like this Maze and I think it is good. It's kind of the same old and same old with new scares and darker lighting. It was a nice addition to the attraction making the scares pretty great! The Costume Design looks good at times and also looks kind of poor at times. The Set Design is pretty amazing! It still does face the issue of being short and compared to the other mazes it doesn't hold up. But Overall "The Walking Dead" is still a great maze that is worth checking out!

Maze Design: 4 Out of 5

Scare Rating: 4 Out of 5

Costume Design: 3 Out of 5

Grade: B+

Scare Zone:

The Purge Election Year - At the start I had high hopes for this Scare Zone since all the other Purge Scare Zones in the past have been getting better each and every year. And to be honest this is basically a very large park round "Dark Christmas" Quality Scare Zone. Really it was astounding! The Costume Design was Fantastic! With a lot of creativity put into the costumes! The Scares Rating is really amazing all of the scare actors are great! The Set Design is really also Amazing! Same with Costumes a lot of creativity was put into this props and sets. They even had a short mini maze in the Parsian Courtyard titled "The Purge Gaunlet of Fear" which is kind of a preview of what "The Purge" would look like as a maze. Which was fantastic and was more of a mixture between the first film and "Anarchy" than all three films. So yes I'm very happy to say that the Scare zone was amazing! And Overall "The Purge Election Year" is amazing!

Set Design: 5 Out of 5

Scare Rating: 4.5 Out of 5

Costume Design: 5 Out of 5

Show:

"Jabbawockeez" - Say what you will about last year's show but I was one of the few that I actually liked it. It has flaws and isn't great. But was pretty good last year as a first year show. This year beats last year's show a lot and is pretty great! I'm happy to say that they were able to improve what they could! The Show is a bit more horror based at the start but loses it quickly unfortunately but glad it was there. The Soundtrack and Songs were a lot better than last year with none of them bothering me. The Plot is a bit more straightforward but again loses track every once and a while also unfortunately. But actually had some pretty cool narration going on this year. There was actually more humor in this year's show and to my surprise a lot of it was crude humor! I was really happy to see Crude Humor at HHN again because we haven't seen it since 2013. You have to realize that they are slowly growing at HHN so yeah it will have some flaws. So Overall "Jabbawockeez" was pretty Great and was an improvement over last year's show!

Grade: A-

Terror Tram:

"Eli Roth Presents Terror Tram" - So we can say that the Terror Tram for 2011 - 2015 wasn't a good time for HHN. Having no plot, no real changes, and no scares made the terror tram stale in those years. I'm happy to say that trend didn't continue to this year and Terror Tram was pretty Fantastic. The Scares are Really Great! The Costume Design had creativity and was amazing! The Set Design was also Amazing! This year had a much more straight forward plot with some really interesting things happening. The Small Scenes of Scare actors doing things to people (which I believe started last year) improved greatly! The Terror Tram avoided the dirt tram making it more short but different. My only flaw is that there are some scenes that are quite dull or stale. But Overall "Eli Roth Presents Terror Tram" was pretty Fantastic and a massive improvement over previous years!

Set Design: 5 Out of 5

Scare Rating: 4.5 Out of 5

Costume Design: 4.5 Out of 5

Grade: A

Overall Review: So Overall this is probably the best year of HHN I have ever been to! With every single house being on a scale of "Great - Masterpiece" there was something pretty for everyone. I loved HHN 2016 and it truly cannot be missed! It may not deserve this grade but in my books it does.

Early Entry:

So we arrived just a little bit early around 3pm and decided to hang out. They then let us in at 4pm. We decided we would just go get our Front of the Line Credentials and go eat. Waited in line to go to the backlot around 5pm. They let us in at 6pm.

Great review!  Thanks.  I had some questions about early entry.  When you got there at 3, was there a specific place that HHN people were lining up for early entry (and was it before or after security)?  That's cool you got to enter the park at 4, I'm assuming they did wristbands again this year?  Where did you get your FOL credentials, at the gate or somewhere else?  Finally, when you got in the backlot line at 5, was there a good deal of other people there by that point (and if you could see the Exorcist line, how long did that look at 5)?  Thanks again, and I'm glad you had a great time.  I'm attending on the 29th and am looking forward to it more and more each day.

Yeah near the gate there is a middle line where they let people on the left in they give you wristbands to go inside. To be honest I'm not sure if we were supposed to be let in that early but Okay! I got my FoL Credentials at the big tower (near "The Walking Dead) titled for like Guest Services you give them your printed out ticked they give you the Credentials. We walked down to the Lower Lot ate dinner and waited in line for Early Entry. In the lower lot you wait in line near the "The Exorcist" and they let you and you have two choices. You go right you can choose to go in General Admission line or FoL for "The Exorcist". You go left you wait in line to go into the tunnel to walk to the backlot. There was about half and half people waiting for both. "The Exorcist" didn't have too long of a wait time until 7:00pm. Recommendation: Go to the Backlot first do "American Horror Story" first and do everything in the backlot in whatever order you want. Then once you come back to the lower lot do "The Exorcist" before you do anything else! I got done with the backlot around 7:05pm and "The Exorcist" had a 120 Minute Wait Time but if you have Front of the Line it will probably take 1-3 Minutes to get in. But you will be fine just get the backlot done first and "The Exorcist" and you kind of free. Anyway have fun!

Thank you Alex! I just loved "The Exorcist". The Fact is that if the effects aren't working the maze won't be as good. But the effects were working and the cast was fantastic!
