HHN Hollywood Speculation/News - 2016

Now we gotta think of other places where mazes could be housed. Confirmed venues we have are: TWD show building, JP, Mummy, Metro Sets, and outside of SS747. 


There is no confirmation yet for the FDTD area to be used however it is very plausible. 


No soundstages, no courtyard square, no Parisian. Anyone have any other ideas? I'm completely stumped. 

Maybe it's possible that we get two mazes at the FDTD plot?

Looking at a birds eye view of the backlot it looks possible. If there was room for 4 queues total in the backlot then it could be done. But 4 queues and 4 mazes all in a portion of the backlot would be a nightmare. So while it is possible I don't see it being probable

What exactly does he mean by Building a maze in front of it? Does he mean that there will be a tent where the line would be usually located for 747 or is that referring to Doris?

I'm assuming he means exactly what he said - the maze is going to be built in front of Soundstage 747.

He's being so mysterious about this. So we won't have less than 6 because that's our usual amount. He never said anything else about us having more. So we have two potential venues still unaccounted for.

Perhaps someone with knowledge can give a hint about what exactly is the deal with locations for this year.

I think I suggested this a while back, but I think they could make the Water World queue work. They can still run the show while they house is being built. Just have people queue up in the area next to the arena and they'll be set. It's also a pretty sizable area and it'll draw people to what has been a dead area for seven years during the event's run.

Now that Parisian Courtyard has been confirmed to be gone, I wonder where the 2nd upper lot location will be..

does that mean we're only getting 6 mazes this year? I thought we were getting 7 including TWD. 


Now on the upper lot, DM is out, queue is permanently set in place. HP is way out. Water World however I don't see being entirely out. The area is large enough to hold a maze. That's the only plausible place I can think of.

Part 1:


So I'm back again so I went on created a huge speculation on what this year's lineup is and what we know so far so with the mazes I also going to be counting that the entire maze lineup (which don't include TWD or terror tram) is 678. So let's start! 


Maze #1 ("Wisconsin" JP Queue "Krampus") 92 Pages 


Maze #2 ("Doris Day" Metro Sets Front of 747 " Freddy Vs Jason" ) 90 Pages


Maze #3 ("Howdy" Mummy Queue "The Exorcist" ) 75 Pages


Maze #4 ("Dark Horse" Metro Sets "The Conjuring") 110 Pages - Now this a bit more speculation Murdy never gave maze #4 a codename but said it is going to be the "dark horse" (contender/best maze) of the event so that makes me think "the conjuring" because it is huge and the pages seem right because there's "The Conjuring" which has some things that they can do. Then "The Conjuring 2" in which they have a lot to do. And three they could also include scenes from "Annabelle" and "Amityville Horror" to make this a huge maze. I don't know that's my opinion.


Maze #5 (FDTD Area "American Horror Story") 127 Pages - A bit more speculation I would say that "dark horse" would be "FVJ" or "AHS" because they are huge and can be contenders for best maze. Because "AHS" is so huge and they have 5 seasons it could be 127 pages and I say the FDTD area because it is a large enough area to hold two mazes it could be enough to hold 127 pages of a maze or even if "AHS" isn't this 127 Paged Maze I still think that this maze with 127 pages will be in the FDTD Area. 


So that leaves 184 pages left which is enough for 2 more mazes. Now I do have more to say about this year's lineup but I have to go. So I will be back to continue what I think about this year's lineup.

All this new maze information is interesting... However Im stumped as to what Murdy refers to when our maze count has stayed the same - does that include or not include TWDA? If so being left with only 5 original IP mazes is going to be kind of a bummer

In the past, they listed House of Horrors (even as is, with the overlays it got after 2008) as apart of the Maze lineup; not in the ride section. Odds are, TWDA will stay with the Maze list on park maps and what-not have you.

I have to think that he may be lying about something to the mix; as it doesn't make sense to me.

It will be in the maze section. House of Horrors was always counted as a maze.

So construction on the Metro Sets Facade has begun! It is blocked off by crates so that no one film it or see it (like Crimson Peak). And that the facade is huge (Thanks to ThemeParkInfo for this info)! My guess is that this maze is "The Conjuring" or "American Horror Story".

I really feel The Conjuring in that area for some reason. Probably the creepy haunted vibe from CP. did he give anymore info about the facade? Like shape or what it could look like

No just said that it is being built now, blocked off by crates, and is huge!

So i'm confused. And when people refer to 3 maze locations lost, are they referring to SS28 as the 3rd?

Um... shall I point you in the direction of HHN Orlando for the past several years? 4 SS houses that have to somehow get around DM, Rockit, & (formerly Twister)... that is 4 queue entrances & somehow have to have an exit route that isn't blocked off by an existing house queue. 4 Mazes on the backlot is very simple, so is handling their queue. We have more space to work with than Orlando does.

I asked him that a while back, and he said that SS28 was lost, guess we know that reason now for those paying attention to the plot as of a few days ago..
