Another random question.......what would you guess the max capacity of the course would be?

Interesting question. You can imagine this place will be swamped when it opens.

Great updates. I'll be anxious to try the course out. It looks fantastic.

I don't think they'll have a soft opening for something like this, so I really hope there's an Annual Passholder preview!

Coming along nicely. Ok, who wants to wager how much Universal will charge to play a round of miniature golf?

$15 per adult, $9 per child 3-9 is my bet. A rack rate round of mini golf at a themed chain mini golf around the beach is usually about $10... add 5 for the "Universal" premium and we have our winner. Here's hoping Annual Passholders get a discount...

I'm thinking Universal may charge in the price range of $15. Maybe even what Disney charges $13.

Love how it's turning out. It definitely looks like a Universal-designed mini golf. A little bit MIB, a little bit Toon Lagoon...

With the exposure it gets from being directly under the moving walkway $15 bucks sounds about right. I mean there is a reason the finale round and main features are right next to the walkway right....

My guess is $14.99 for adults, $9.99 for children, and 20% off for passholders. I would also expect heavy discounts for 36 holes vs 18.

Universal Orlando passholders will get a 10% discount at the Hollywood Drive In Golf at CityWalk (limit 6 guests) when it opens.

10% is usually the norm for Universal Preferred AP discounts. Premier gets 15 to 20% off depending on the place.

yea, but Disney's courses are out of the way (no bus transport except winter summerland when blizard beach is open)... maybe universal thinks the hype and location is too much to offer a too good to be true discount? I wouldn't mind 25% off though... 10%, we better see what they are charging first since mini-golf isn't for individuals... it's for groups!

Just saw the AP Newsletter. Here is what it states.

As a Power Passholder you can enjoy:
NEW! 10% discount at the Hollywood Drive In Golf at CityWalk (limit 6 guests)

So the discount is for the Power Pass, will the discount be the same for Preferred or Premiere?

Power Passholders don't get any discounts or free parking. I think this is just an extra perk (maybe even for a limited time) that they're giving Power APHs. Now, it might also be 10% for Preferred, but Premier will always have more. Hopefully Preferred will also have more, at least 15% off, and Premier hopefully 20% off.

On a side note, I also got the newsletter a couple of days ago and thought it was strange that it stated specifically that it was a Newsletter for Power Passholders... Since I'm not a Power Passholder...
(Here's the newsletter, btw)

EDIT: Looking closer at the newsletter, Power Passholders do get some discounts:

"Power Passholder Benefits

Valid January 1 – December 31, 2012

As a Power Passholder you can enjoy:

NEW! 10% discount at the Hollywood Drive In Golf at CityWalk (limit 6 guests)
$2 off admission on highest ticketed price at AMC® Universal Cineplex 20 with IMAX® (valid after 4pm)
10% discount on multi-day theme park admission tickets (limit 6 people per transaction)"

I still think Power Passes are pointless... Spend a bit more and get a Preferred at least. With the discounts all around and free parking, the difference pays for itself in two visits... which you will visit at least twice, if not why are you getting an annual pass...

Anyways, sorry, back on topic! :P I hope Preferred and Premier get a bigger discount.
