Mummy broke down Saturday afternoon, haha, but that's extremely rare, only seen it happen 3 times. As a mummy employee explained, "But were not Rockit"

Haha, that's simply wonderful.
I guess this coaster's on its way to stardom, but it's definitely got quite a few hurdles.

Oh, and I found the Rockiteers to be much more enthusiastic than the Mummy... crew? Everyone on the Mummy around the opening time were all very into character. Now they're just bored with it... Universal pays them to be actors in a sense, right?

Do I smell a strong odor of re-orientations? Don't even get me started with Mummy, though. The guy was like, "How many? Okay, row four." *thumbs up signal* "Bye..."

Last I heard a lot of the stuff they said/did, such as the thumbs up then across throat then down and the little sayings like Take off your hat and open up your soul were stopped after complaints at guest services. But as far as Rockit it'll end up being the same.. As I remember opening weekend hearing at least 5 WELCOME BACK ROCK STARS every time in the station, now I rarely hear one.

Darn, so then it was even better before on Rockit, too?
Universal, get down on your employees!

What did people complain to guest services about?

My last trip to Mummy I had a really enthusiastic worker who said "so long sacrafices, you're all doomed" and he said it in a creepy way. He also had no emotions at all so he gets a good job award.

hmm interesting to hear them stopping the theming because of complaints. what the heck made people complain? I feel that if youre going to work at a THEME park you should stay in THEME (which is why JP is so fun to work in haha). ugh, those that dont like the job need to go elsewhere because a minimum wage job is not worth hating to work.

anyways... thats awesome yeti! That sounds like something I would totally laugh about

RRR's problem was not having a theme to begin with.

At least the Team Members tried to bring life to it, for working with what they had I give them credit, but take that away and you have a coaster with onboard audio that you can pay to have a video of you on at the end.

On the note of Rip Ride RockIt a guy has a custom made spray paint shirt that says "I'll Ride RockIt....If It Works!"

I went to Universal on Sunday, and the Rockit was still having problems. They were running 4 trains when I got into line and pulled one off just as I made it into the loading station. The music also didn't work on my wife's seat.

I haven't been on the ride since October so I have few data points, but the ride seemed MUCH more extreme this time around. There was extensive airtime (I was in the front seat) and even a couple of modest impacts against the restraints. G-forces were high and sustained - my wife said she blacked out for a moment. I know they've been having occasional valleying problems. Can anyone confirm if the lift speed has been increased to eliminate the problem?

I must always get lucky when I'm at USF. I've ridden HRRR about ten times and never had a waiting/technical problem.

Also, hi. You may know me from HHN Vault. Or if you caught me outside your window.

It's nothing to worry about. It is caused by a large amount of G-Forces. As a matter of fact, the new coaster at Kings Dominion, Intimidator 305, has such strong G-Forces after the drop that almost every rider has reported a blackout there.

Doesn't it make it incredibly intense though? As Hulk and DD are the only coasters I've experienced (and I find the Hulk's launch pretty extreme :) )

Some people are more sensitive than others. I've never blacked out on any roller coaster I've been on. I've been on all Hulk, DD, Mummy, HRRR, Montu, Kumba, and Sheikra. My girlfriend on the other hand, who also loves coasters, has blacked out on probably half of those.

I have never blacked out but we are different. I think of HRRR as more of a family coaster with a lift hill gimmick and music.
