Remember the days of theme parks before fastpass and express...when you had to wait 30 minutes if you wanted to ride and that was fine and dandy.....good old days.

In a way I do miss that now you have to pay or stay onsite. It's not really worth paying for us IMO since it may not be applicable to WWOHP and only works once on the other rides (especially since we've paid so much for tickets in the first place). For those onsite to be able to use express pass all day really adds to the queues for the rest of us :( the longer the orignial wait time, the longer the additional wait for us due to express pass (I think someone posted that for every 5 mins of express line, it adds 20 to the wait of the regular line).

And before fastpass you did not have people "virtually holding their place in line) so the lines were not always long due to the abuse of the system. If a family does not know that space mt is only a ten min wait and decides to go for fastpass without checking they are automatically going to make someone else's wait an hour later that much longer. And times that by every family who does that. Ugh.

This sums fastpass up pretty much, good post.

Everyone should at least be happy that theme parks in America have things like fast pass and things like that because here in Australia we don't have that kinda thing. Even though most rides its only a 10 minute wait on most rides a couple can get up to three hours while everything else is empty (cause its so popular). But we have one system that beats your system. Its an electronic device that you take it to a ride then put it up to a computer which puts you in line. When your time to ride has come it buzzes and you go through the exit to the ride and get straight on. But this is only at one park, even though its not needed.

Sounds like the Q-bot system which some parks use in America? It is an upcharge feature though.

Anyway back on the Rockit topic, it's holding steady at 75 minutes at mid-day. Pretty good considering Mummy is holding at 40 right next door. Rockit's capacity is getting there hooray.

At Universal it all depends on when you go and what kind of Express Pass you would like.

The 1-Park Express Passes range from $19.99 - $59.99 and the 2-Park Express Passes range from $25.99 - $69.99. These Express Passes only allow one use per attraction. Universal also offers a VIP Ticket which gets you into the park and gives you an Express Pass with unlimited use which can range from $169.99 - $196.99.

All three of the Universal Orlando resorts give you unlimited use Express Passes for staying at the resort.

I know that Disney tried a kind of system like the Australia one where everyone got a time to ride and could leave and come back at your time instead of waiting in line. Personally I hate the system but it is something.

Not to come off like a Negative Nancy but its really not. You have to consider Revenge of The Mummy also has Express pass purchased by guests and many guests using Onsite Hotel Key Cards which is constantly pushing the standby line back and it is still a solid system at people eating for a coaster based ride.

Where as Rockit does not have any express line to hold the standby up at all. Waiting an hour and fifteen minutes is awful especially in an outdoor queue that can fit it but was not designed for waiting long periods of time.

I understand, I knew I should of included that in my previous post but I was lazy and didn't feel like typing it out lol. Anyway, given Rockits low hourly capacity I consider that wait time respectable. I still think a dual load station would of been key for this ride, but just not enough room where they put the station to accommodate such a thing.

I'm waiting for a download to complete so I had some extra time here, just to add to my previous post about that dual load station. This could of opened up a similar format that mummy runs, obviously with less RV's but I think this would of allowed a more comfortable loading situation instead of the magic carpet system. I think the biggest thing missing currently is having a hold position right before dispatch, this would allow TM's the ability to load and forget, much like how mummy and MiB currently have there systems set up. This in turn would allow for RV's to continuously be moving into the load position on a set timer, in turn reducing wait times and boosting guest capacity.

They can go ahead and do this when they get the mega money from potter. Kthx back to my download. Btw please take this as a "what if" and please, please, ignore the terrible paint shop quality lol, like i said it was a quick fix to get my idea off my mind and onto paper. Good day guys.

EDIT : Sorry forgot to mention the black X's are the RV's...the ones waiting on the block brakes would be in extreme circumstances such as not being able to dispatch due to TM or Guest slowdown loading/dispatching. The red circles represent the turntables needed to feed the dual load. Also forgot to pencil in unload, but you guys are smart I figured you would figure it out  but anyway it would be the two loads which would act as unloads as well. Sorry for the long post guys, carry on.

Excellent diagram and I think Rockit would be better off with this design instead of a single line which I think is a horrible concept for this type of ride.

Universal must be less concerned with winds. The last few days have been VERY gusty here in Orlando, and I haven't noticed any Rockit closures.

According to screamscape, Rockit is suppossedly running with 5 trains and they are pushing to have it run at full capacity with 6 trains, so lets hope it happens soon!

hahaha, rockit closures..? It closes everyday even the staff admitted it on Sunday. Everyone that works daily at Universal knows good and well that rockit breaks down daily. 2 out of 3 days I was there this past fri-sun they were closed for more than a hour.

@Rockit running 5 trains I find that surprising, considering they were struggling Friday to Sunday major to get the cars out of the station, they were often getting all cars in station (well one in the last break before station but yeah).

That may be true, but it didn't affect me. I haven't had a single problem on Rockit since Saturday night and all day Sunday.

I was on it right before that on Sunday, and on Saturday night I also rode it just fine, lol.
I guess they're just half-hour breakdowns, with which anyone can deal; Mummy's just a short walk away, you know?
