I doubt Universal would only have the Christian Rock music as the only option.

In which case it would be fine. But even 3 days of only religious music (I'm sorry the message is still there) is not good. There's a reason RTU is seperately ticked and that is so that non-Christians don't have to listen on their way out of the park.

Guys not everyone has to like the same music you do. I did listen to the songs you listed and it wasn't my cup of tea. Others will feel the same and that's why I think that having this type of music on Rockit is a bad idea. That's my view.

Did someone seriously post that people my be offended by songs on a coaster that may feature a spiritual inspiration behind the artist's motivation to write it? That is hilarious that someone would be offended by that in a worse way than songs played with people criminal convictions and songs filled with sexual innuendos.

Even Disney somehow became ok with "Love in An Elevator" and "Walk This way" and millions have ridden to find it unoffensive. Some people look to be offended.

This, this, and this. How Kanye West is acceptable but Relient K isn't is beyond me.

Exactly, but again these are the same people who are offended when the wait to ride something was too long, or just to get into WWoHP.

Its an elitetess society that everyone thinks they should get an extra perk the next person didn't.

But some other artists I would love on the ride:

Nirvana
Aerosmith (somehow someway but Sweet Emotion would be great and the intro bass track going up the hill would be perfect!)
Bon Jovi
Kid Rock
Soulfly
Sepultura
2pac
Snopp Dogg
Eminem

Just to name a few...

How is different than having the options of Pop, Rock, Rap, and so on on Rockit? Just because it's associated with a religion? Let's switch it up a bit. Should Christians start a protest about Mardi Gras this past Saturday because they played Pitbull, which may have some words and content that they find wrong?

Screams hypocritical to me.

Sure, if you don't like it, then try to change it. That's how things get done.

Using your example, having performers such as Pitbull at a "Mardi Gras" concert.

I like the iPod idea but I thin it was proposed a while back. The only thing holding it back I think would be keeping it in place the whole ride. Personally I think they should just include a wider variety of popular music, to please more peolpe.

So if I understand you correctly, if people are offended by Pitbull because it is not their type of music, they should complain to make sure he never performs at UO again? If so, you are very narrow minded.

If you dont like christain music, im pretty sure you could avoid HRR for 3 days. There are plenty of other rides to enjoy at USO for those days if it really bother you so much.

What I've been trying to say is that Rockit riders should not have to listen to Christian music. There need to be others choices. And from the original post, it lookes as if there would not be different options. End of story.

Well if they just add it solely for RTU, I see no problem with it, since it's a Christian event. If it's during the day, as I said, I highly doubt they would remove the other options to just play christian music.

The reprograming of Rockit with christian music, in my opinion, is an okay idea, provided they still keep all the other music, which I doubt they wouldn't do. Do any of you really think Uni is that stupid? And what does it matter if they add Christian music? Maybe I find other music Rockit has on it to be offensive. As long as they keep the other music, IT WILL BE FINE.

How is this off topic?

Question: Has Rockit been running during the Mardi Gras concerts? I would like to know to better plan my trip this Saturday.

It's not. I've been seeing a lot of this lately as well. Let the mods and staff decide what's on or off topic.
