So whats the evac. system on the chain lift if this thing breaks down?

They winch you to the top of the lift hill, and then you get out and ride down the elevator they installed on the back of the lift tower. You can see it in the first pic I posted above.

Wow, that looks like that would be scary. I hope I'm not on the lift hill if it breaks down, or on that break run way up top by Twister either for that matter! :yikes:

That does look a little scary looking at the stairway that just leads to nothing but a fall to your death they must be very careful and lead 1 person out at a time

Finish painting the lift, put the rings up, and the side banner. After that, this ride should be as good as soft-open.

An update on johnnyupsidedown. Looks like we should be seeing work on the rings soon. Can't wait until the sandbags are replaced with guests. And just to add on that the song picking devices look really convenient and easy to use..

I am 99% sure that these are them. If they are not the red things then they are on the front of the restraints.

The circled monitors in that picture are the song choice devices, and the cameras are either on the railing at the front of the car or on the back of the headrest in front of you. There's a rotating model of the car on the hollywood rip ride rockit website.

From what I've been told, they were working on the rings today, but they were not put up (as of this afternoon). It is VERY possible that the rings could be put up tonight (Hulk, anyone?) with a soft opening soon to follow. I'm going tomorrow to check this out for myself (at least, tomorrow morning I'll be there). If anyone else is going, gimme a shout over PM!
