Horror Nights Wish List - Orlando

In terms of IPs, I would love to see a Gremlins house happen someday. Such a great atmosphere for scares, and could be a bit unique given the puppet use that would probably be needed. Beetlejuice was my go-to dream, but considering we're getting a house now, I'd still be down for a scare zone of it at some point.

I'd also love a Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark house. The movie offered a pretty solid flow with sequences you could translate to scare scenes, and seeing those illustrations brought to life in a house would be fantastic.

I recently re-watched the film Freaked. It's a 90's film and I don't expect anyone here would have seen it lol

The only reason I watched is because I finished Bill and Ted and saw that Alex Winter (Bill) directed it.

Anyway, it's positively chaotic and I'd love to see it come to HHN as a house. It would definitely be a dark humor house

That film is so demented, but it has a real energy that it would lend well to a dark humor house.

Little shop.
That's it I'm done.
That would also be another good pick for a "comedy house", using the musical element and showing off some awesome puppetry for Audrey II. While the theatrical release did have a different ending, I'd prefer for a Little Shop of Horrors house to use the director's cut ending of the plants taking over.

Plants winning is the true ending. It’s how the stage show ends (“Don’t Feed the Plants”).

Oh, yeah. I just mean I'd prefer the house to use that actual ending. Giant man-eating plants would make for a great final scene in the house.

Heck, the director's cut ending using that true ending even throws in a moment that'd be perfect for the house's final scare, with a plant bursting through the movie theater screen.

Just finished Resident Evil Village and while I think this has a 0% chance of happening I couldn't help but think what an absolutely AWESOME house this would be... so many amazing elements!

Resident Evil: Village would certainly offer an interesting variety component for a house, given the Four Lords and their various horror gimmicks you could use. If we did get another RE house, I could see that or Resident Evil: Biohazard working well.

I've already mentioned Gremlins as something I'd love to see, but I had an interesting thought. While the first film is the one I would most want to see, Gremlins 2: The New Batch could also have plenty to offer if they wanted more of a "comedy house". There's a solid variety of locales within the Clamp Center, and there's an oddball variety of gremlins you could use. Plus, one of the film's more standout moments is some really crazy fourth-wall breaking. You could try to capture that with the idea of the house itself breaking down, making it seem like guests have wandered "backstage" where the gremlins are terrorizing the house staff.

Been playing RE: Village...and honest to good, you can make 3 mazes with this enough content. There's so many settings, characters, and scares to do, that I don't think a single house can convey it all.

Legit, been planning to make a Village haunt treatment, so if anyone wants to help out, feel free to share ideas

Ok, I'm bored, here are some elements I would love to see in a Village house
  • Either have a facade of the village with Miranda doing her prophecies/warnings, or have the facade be castle dimitrescu with an animatronic Duke offering to sell some items.
  • A dining room where you see the kicking legs of Grigori being dragged up the ceiling
  • I would love a little crawl space section with the dead bodies and a Lycan scare.
  • A village room where tons of Lycans attack (think something similar to Yeti), you can even have some bungee effects with them leaping from roof to roof.
  • Luizas burning house with a mid transformed Leonardo
  • Can have a little section themed to "Heisenberg's Game" with all of the Lycans. Throw in some spiked walls closing in and a stilt walker Urias, and it'll be awesome.
  • Really enormous sets for castle dimitrescu, with the halls, dining room, and dungeons, with the sisters scaring (though idk how to really replicate Alcina? Maybe stilts, but might look a bit comical.
  • I would also love to see a Stranger Things style puppet for the mutated Alcina
  • I would love for a section of Angie's house, with the dolls attacking you (sort of like the bear in krampus), the general unnerving lighting and set design to...but idk how the "baby" would work.
  • Honestly, a more giant version of the AWIL puppets for the Varcolac would be awesome and terrifying.

Reminder...this is just half of the game

I know after playing the game it is just SCREAMING for a haunted house creation especially with an HHN style budget, it was just soooo good and the game felt like one giant haunted house I am sure it is only a dream but it would be so so SO good especially after the mediocre showing of the initial Resident Evil house at HHN

If we were still in 80’s mode for HHN, Hotline Miami would be killer asf. It’s so tonally there for hhn. I believe they even used some of the music for 29 lol 2F36A626-3F7D-4060-8B92-C4F4DC5DDCA7.jpeg

I think A Quiet Place (now that it has two films and enough content) and Army of the Dead would be fun houses for sometime in the future (spoilers ahead):

A Quiet Place Parts I and II:
Facade: The Bridge
Scene 1: The Woods (Screaming Old Man scareactor, possible kill effect)
Scene 2: The Barn (Lee scareactor, monster puppet)
Scene 3: Bathroom (Evelyn scareactor, possible monster puppet around the corner)
Scene 4: The Basement (Regan and Evelyn scareactors, monster puppet being killed)
Scene 5: Emmett's Hideout (Emmett scareactor, overhead monster puppet)
Scene 6: Emmett's Basement (Pipe crawlspace leading into a Marcus scareactor killing a monster)
Scene 7: Trainyard (Monster puppet)
Scene 8: The Marina (2-3 feral scareactors)
Scene 9: The Radio Station (Monster puppet, possible Emmett and Regan scareactors)

Army of the Dead:
Facade: Military Camp leading into the Vegas Border
Scene 1: Vegas Border (Lily scareactor inside, zombie scareactor at the end of the room)
Scene 2: The Highway (2-3 zombie scareactors, 1-2 main characters)
Scene 3: Zombie Ritual at the Olympus (Live scene of Zeus killing Cummings as misdirection for a Queen scareactor)
Scene 4: Bly's Casino (Large shootout with Scott and Guzman, 1-2 zombie scares)
Scene 5: The Vault (Vanderhoe and Deiter scene as misdirection for a Zeus scareactor)
Scene 6: Escape Hallway (1-2 zombie scareactors, maybe a kill scene)
Scene 7: The Zombie Tiger (Zombie Tiger puppet)
Scene 8: Rescuing Kate (Zeus scare, Scott and Kate scene)
Scene 9: Helicopter (Zeus killing Lily with live Peters actor ala Janine in Ghostbusters)
Scene 10: Final Scares (2-3 zombies)

Double post sorry, but finished up Village, and please, we need this as a maze ASAP.

I'm actually thinking of making a haunt layout on it. If anyone wants or wishes to help me out, like or message me, and I'll try to figure out some ideas.
