What are the chances Frye Drill is still open in 2030? I’d give it 35% or so.

One of the few rides without a height requirement.

I'd put those odds way higher.

Fast & Furious Supercharged is almost at the 7-year mark. Fyre Drill will be there in 2030. It's Florida, it's a kids land, and I think having targets to shoot other than the other boat will make this Splash Battle more popular than other iterations.

Is it weird that I'm really looking forward to Fyre Drill?

Not to mention, one of the only rides at Epic I know for sure everyone in my family can go on without turning green. Though early reports for Monsters were super promising!

It's also the only water ride in the park. At least Islands of Adventure has at least three to choose from.

And, if for some reason a rider turns green, the dose of water will clean them up. Win win for the other riders. ;) :D

There's literally no reason to think Fyre Drill would be gone in 5 years. Popeyes and Ripsaw Falls get you absolutely soaked, and they've been there.. eh.. 26 years

I don’t think that was the reasoning. It’s very low capacity and supposedly prone to high maintenance, at least according to chat.

I don’t think it’s going anywhere though. The land was literally designed around it.

Hoping Hiccup's Wing Gliders queue gets improved. It's the weakest queue out of all the major attractions and is designed quite odd. The queue railings (really ropes) are set up high so kids can easily walk under it, bizarre considering children are the target demo for it. The backside of Mead Hall (and accompanying utilities) are very exposed. Hoping they can at least paint them dark green/blue, but it looks very industrial.

The ceiling fans above are also way too high to be useful, so hoping they can add fans closer to the ground with mist as well as this queue is entirely outdoors.

Didn't get to ride, but the station work is very nice.

HTTYD has very nice touches and design throughout.

Maybe, since HWG (is that a thing yet?) is getting amazing "guest respose". It really is a fantastic family coaster. Slightly more aggressive than Slinky Dog but still well within the family coaster designation.

This is the kind of thing I just don't think should be happening in a new, built-from-the-ground-up theme park in the modern era. If a centerpiece structure of your land can be seen from multiple vantage points (within the land, certainly), it should be themed to be seen from those vantage points.

That’s the problem with outdoor coasters and you’re prone to see some imperfections.

That’s why I’m not the biggest fan of them. Now how exposed this area is the question in my mind.

Is it a very brief glimpse or so bad it takes you out of the immersion of the land/ride experience ?

Easily seen in the queue. Because the queue was given a very tight space, they weren’t able to add trees or anything of significant height to blockout the views as they had to maximize queue space.

Outside of that the rest of the land is ok. The Untrainable Dragon showbuilding is my biggest issue, but I won’t go down that route. There is the backside of the Celestial Park buildings that were painted dark green that are visible, but should be hidden once the vegetation grows.

Fyre Drill is also in a central location in the land where it would be difficult to get rid of, and nothing except a flat would be small enough to fit the space. It isn't going anywhere.

Fyre Drill is really fun. Definitely not weird! I enjoyed it quite a bit on my last visit. Helped that it was really hot outside as well.

There are 31 animatronic dragons on the prowl here, including free-roaming babies. Universal is working on two dragons that will fly overhead using drone technology, at least one of which may breathe fire.

I never ever do meet n greets personally as I don’t get much from them, however, this could genuinely be the first thing I do at Epic Universe.
