No idea, just sharing an article. I think it's something Atlantic City could use if built quickly. Where they're planning the build has been vacant for years after a casino was demolished. It's literally a make shift park right now after Pinnacle Entertainment pulled out of it.

My brain is looking for trouble I swear. I first read this post and my brain removed the first "this" leaving behind:

"2 certain OU people will be finally checking out this weekend."

and I started searching back in the thread to figure out who Bri was angry at on here.

I am such a goon!

Oh no, I understand that. Wasn't trying to imply you had inside knowledge. Just quoted ya, since you had the link. :)

We just checked it out on Thursday. I liked the Eye a lot more than I thought I would despite the whole fear of heights and ferris wheels thing. Really dug the wax museum, but unfortunately the aquarium closed 30 seconds before we got to the line. Had no idea it closed so much earlier than everything else :(

I think once the area is more completed it will be a good time and pretty impressive overall.

I'm sure many of you saw our vlog for the Eye. We actually didn't hate it, @hatetofly included. I was more concerned at looking out on the horizon than what was below us. Still, probably a once a year type thing for locals, but I can see why tourists would enjoy it.

Madame Tussauds..... It was ok. The figures are fantastic and pretty accurate (Save for a few that look "off). Found out that the NPH figure cost 300K apparently. At end of day, it's a glorified photo op.

SeaLife was cool, but we didn't stay too long because it started to get a little tooooo crowded.

We paid the advance 3-attraction package price of $39. Considering you don't have to pay for parking, it's quite the value for what you get.

The Eye was a neat experience and we definitely got our money worth given we were stuck in the capsule for an hour while technical issues were resolved. Madame Tussauds was great cause Katy Perry and SeaLife was IMO the weakest of the 3. IMO with SeaWorld right down the street I think many will just feel spoiled and look down upon it. But thats just me.

It sure takes thinking pretty highly of yourself to open a sea life attraction a few blocks away from Sea World. The wheel itself is a one time experience. For me the wax museum was the only thing worth re-visiting and I'm encouraged that they have already added 3 figures so quickly after opening. If they keep it fresh and current that will be a huge plus. Merlin has a decent track record so I assume they did their homework on this project and although a wheel looking out over our landscape seems odd they seem to know what they are doing...we'll see.

Does anyone know if they have to close the wheel for lightning? I would assume they do, which means hours of downtime in the summer.

The Sealife centre is a template attraction, there are loads of them all over the world, there are no rides so its solely based on the tanks

I'm aware of that but if I'm not mistaken none of them are this close to a major sea life theme park like Sea World. It will get the ride-along as the third attraction but Merlin has other attractions they could have used as the third attraction that would be more a draw in an of themselves. I mean who here would have picked a SeaLife attraction over a Dungeon?

Interesting observation--yesterday re-visited Madame Tussaud and in addition to the new figures that they have advertised I noticed that they have done some outfit changes and moved people around. Both Katie Perry and Rihanna have done "costume changes" since they first appeared. Also new props are showing up. I'm very impressed with how they seem to be trying to keep the experience fresh for repeat viewings.

The Dungeons generally retell stories from the city/country they are in (Jack the Ripper in London for example). All of them except San Fran are in Europe where there is a long history aspect. As far as I know, there is no medieval history in Orlando

Again you miss my point. There were other options for the third attraction then offering a sea life attraction down the street from Sea World. And what do you mean no medieval history?!? We we have Medieval Times history!!!

Madame Tussauds does that a lot. We have one here in Times Square and I stop by every few years or so (it's the only tourist attraction here that I bother with ) and they are always changing outfits, moving people into different rooms, changing hairstyles, and adding more figures. I've been to ours a few times and each time was different.

It's really disappointing that they don't have decent measures in place for issues like this. Also, being trapped in an enclosed cabin with no A/C in Florida heat for 3 hours? I think there will be some major discounts coming soon

It must be something with Ferris Wheels. When they used to have a pretty large one here at our local park, Kennywood, it seemed like nearly every time I rode that darn thing it broke down. The only saving grace was that you got to enjoy the view for a very long, long, loooong time.
