Yea, probably there was something they wanted to fix and it would take them a day or two after so it was allowed for. Hopefully, the ride should open up before Next weekend.

Is it less green than last year's refurbishment?  It looks so much more natural that I remember.

Hmmm it does look less green. Guess they drained it or put a new filter in the water...

They simply chose a darker color to paint the lagoon this time around. In past years, it's been a very bright seafoam green. I think it looks better if it's a bit more natural.

It absolutely looks different! More of a "pea" natural green. I was a fan of the more saturated turquoise-like green, but I like this too, might grow on me, looks more "lagoon"ish.

*sigh* I can't wait till they properly refurb the ride.

Probably took a day or two longer than normal on the repainting and such is all. I doubt it's more than just a slight delay

On a semi related semi tangential note, I will also say as I often do that the team members on this ride in particular are either amazing and love the ride and know it well, or are absolutely dreadful and care nothing for the ride or their customer service for that matter.

^ you can unfortunately say that about all team members currently working at USH. They're either super enthusiastic Disney quality team members, or they're absolutely abysmal employees.

The JP guys and gals are my favorite people in the park. I've almost always had a blast talking to them.

One night when my family was visiting and I took them to ride JP my mom wanted to buy the picture of us on the drop when it was just our group. The printer was malfunctioning but myself, my mom, my girlfriend, and the 5 employees all stood around and talked about how much the Simpsons ride blows and how much better BTTF was. After about 20 minutes after closing the printer worked and they gave us 2 copies for free.

They make JP the ride even better.

The annual refurbishment is usually for paint and water filtration purposes.  Nothing more.  Hopefully I get a chance to ride in the coming weeks before summer hits!

In a perfect world, Universal would have brand new Garner Holt animatronic dinosaurs being built off site, and then spend a month or so installing and testing them inside the ride. That'd be so fantastic.

In a perfect world indeed, I am upset that we did not get that, new animatronic dinosaurs. On twitter people did not get the concept of an 'annual refurb' even asking if new animatronics were going to be put in.

Normally I wouldn't even expect anything or dream so hard about a major update. It just boggles my mind that they're not prepping the ride to tie it into Jurassic World....it's the first new Jurassic Park movie in over a decade, you'd think this would've been a perfect opportunity....i understand the park has other projects going on but still...

I know....so far the only Jurassic World promotion in the park itself seems to be the poster you see as you ride the elevator down the stairway...
