It’s not called that in Orlando, so it’s still ride specific.View attachment 7516 Finally some merchandise with the ride closure! Too bad it doesn’t say “Hollywood” on it.

It still shows you the distinction between Hollywood and Orlando as both rides have thier own names.

Thats a big negative. Both are "JP River Adventure"... Here's the ride sign..It still shows you the distinction between Hollywood and Orlando as both rides have thier own names.
Welcome back Miss B!
Talk about a sight for sore eyes.
Welcome back Miss B! I can't wait to see you post more often, as it's a treat to see you around.
To say I'm saddened by the upcoming remodel is a vast understatement. I have a long, long history with this ride, and it is my favorite ride in any theme park anywhere.
I'm grateful that it's just a remodel and not a full closure, so I'm not losing it entirely. But I have an intense dislike of the new franchise. I can only hope that at the least, the new dino animatronics are fluid and dynamic, as they should have been all these years.
The closure has me coming back to USH for the first time in 4 years. So much has changed in the past 4 years that I'm honestly going to be disoriented there for the first time.
I don't quite have the words to express what the memories I have about and around this ride - and this website as a result - mean to me. I can only hope the next incarnation freshens it up to keep it around for another 2 decades.

We're gearing up for one last ride as Jurassic Park: The Ride gets ready to close next week, Sept 3, at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Next week, it will all be gone. Thanks for all of the good memories JP the ride.
I see @Chris is having his fun back into video's..
Just because it'll be gone, it won't be forgotten.
After-all, that's why we have the Studio Vault to look back upon.
I feel you. I absolutely feel you. Thank you for sharing this, I feel less alone in my mourning!I haven't logged in here in quite a long time, but I needed to tell you how much you hit the nail on the head when it comes to how I feel about this ride. It holds so many memories for me and it's so sentimental to me. It's my absolute favorite ride in existence and I've rode it so many times I can't even begin to estimate. Some nights I'd just ride it over and over until the lower lot closed.
One night I remember we rode it so many times that we started getting creative and focusing on different things rather than the ride as a whole, to appreciate it more. For example, for one ride through we looked behind us the entire time to watch the dinosaurs run through their motions and reset for the next riders.
People keep arguing that I should be happy that it's being 'improved' but I'm just really not. It's sentimental to me and I love it because of the way it is now- the soundtrack, the narration, the timing, the dinosaurs and especially the parasaurolophus (the Hollywood parasaurolophus is extremely sentimental to me and I really don't have a reason why, other than I'm just really attached to this one specific animatronic).
I took my final ride tonight and it was very bittersweet. Half the dinosaurs were missing, including the parasaurolophus (which I already knew and expected. Wish I would have appreciated her more the last time I saw her!). The audio was out of sync. And the ride stopped at the top of the lift with the dropping raptor (which was cool because we got to see it run through its movements, slide back and go back into the ceiling). Not the way I expected to bid farewell, but oh well.
On a less sappy and depressing note, an acquaintance spotted the parasaurolophus in the bushes on the Studio Tour. I wonder if this is her final resting place.
