If you have an issue with me, I'd love to hear it in private instead of seeing a staff member making such comments.
Hey Dan,
1) I did not know Midway Mayhem/you had an account here and would have addressed you directly if I did.
2) I should not have called you a dumbass, it was an off the cuff rude remark that didn't address the conversation at hand and instead demeaned you. I apologize for that comment and have removed it from my post.
3) Staff members can have opinions, we're not mod bots. I see this brought up a lot when we disagree with someone, we'll offer our opinions but not silence your right to say it (as long as you're not violating rules or decorum of the forum).
The following will be super meta-commentary, so most of y'all can just tune out now.
And that's perfectly fine by me bud. For some reason people are focusing on things that I repeatedly said were rumors and even I BELIEVE ARE RUMORS. Now do I believe some are more plausible than others? Yes. Have I 100% said, "I, Dan of Midway Mayhem 100% do solemnly swear that the new ride will be a 200ft. flying coaster." Nope, don't think I have. I guess since this is a good place to put this......I PERSONALLY DO NOT BELIEVE THAT IT WILL BE A 200FT. FLYING ROLLER COASTER. Could it be? Sure. Could it not? Sure. Could it be a nice mix in between and be 150+ ft. above the ground? Could it be something other than a flyer? Sure. Could it be a kiddie coaster?!?!?! Sure. Point is of this post...we all know (or should) that there could be 50+ designs of rides. No offense to
@Alicia but I don't see people jumping on her the same way she feels about a wooden coaster. Don't understand the recently amount of people getting feelings over yesterdays post but hey, I'll take the talk.
Fair point. I don't agree with "we're sharing every bit of info" and here's my frustration with it.
Midway Mayhem is, predominantly, a news vlog. So if a Midway Mayhem video is showing news around the resort then point to a spot near JRA and say "I don't know how tall but I think we're going over 200 ft" then people treat it as news even if you didn't mean it to be. Heck people are treating it as news on here let alone the UOAP FB group or other places. It's the context that matters.
It's nit picky, yes, but I think it's an important discussion to have with all of us in the community. And, to be honest, I'm still working on my communication and clarity as you can clearly see.
I'll add my voice also to thanking you for the work you've done covering the parks, especially the work you did with Cinematic Celebration. I look forward to all your updates and promote them as much as I can.
Nailed it Dan. Should have ended with "dumbass" since that's now acceptable vernacular.
