I like slow, gives me more time to look at all the little details than I would speeding by them

And I like moderate/fast, where I have to work hard to see the details and illusions created. I will ride such rides over and over.

I have been on IASW and SM once, POTC and HM 3 times. I have been on CITH and ET once as well.

We all have different tastes it seems.

Give me slow, slow, slow. I want time to enjoy the atmosphere. As for the ride vehicles, do we know yet if they will have tops? Or will it be convertible style?

That's the big thing I want to know too. I would guess yes if they are having a 360 segment since those screens dont cover overhead. And then even if it's raining you could still run the ride.

The is a huge difference in a ride that travels from stage to stage making you the spectator while telling a (in Disney's case mostly rehashed)story, or you make the vehicle and it's riders part of the story. Most of the time the last one will involve some more excitment to make the excitment feelable.

The ride needs slow and fast segments. It feels weird going 5mph past a giant dragonfly trying to eat you and even stranger when your driving like a senior through a Kong-Dino fight scene.

The RV doesn't have to move fast in order to appear going fast :look:

Use of illusions and fans etc can make things seem as if you are moving faster than you really are...good example is space mountain.

I think the ride entrance/exit will be just to the left of Thunder Falls. And the outdoor track will be to the left of that, closer to the Toon Lagoon side.

Thanks!

Transformers is a good example of this, especially in the elevator up, you appear to move yet you are not, it is actually quite cool to look up and notice how you are going up ...

I'm fairly sure Gringotts uses fans in its coaster section. Pretty convincing, actually!

I only recently caught how right as you're pushed into the last coaster section, the screen around the opening does a quick zoom-in as you move forward. Subtle way to make it seem faster.

That's a great observation. I only noticed the fans at the coaster section after the first drop. I'll have to look for that next time.

In the back of the last car the effect is felt much more...caught it on my last ride, pretty cool addition...As for Kong..I was hoping for some fast moments in front of screens..I just picture how awkward the Alien scene is in Great Movie Ride..when it takes 5 minutes to approach an animatronic is really looses its effect..I'm not looking to fly by everything, but I am looking for the ride to move along at a rate that surprises me with effects..

Thought I'd share a funny story -
When I'm at the parks I like to talk to my family about all the rumors being passed around. They like knowing what's going on around the parks. We were in line for a pin cart at Diagon Alley and I started talking about the construction for Kong, and I had some Team Member who was so full of herself go "Nope, they're wrong, don't believe everything you read on the internet" and it was the funniest damn thing to me because I know they're not told anything but she was like, arrogant about it (an air of superiority?)... Anyway I didn't argue obviously but I'd love to see her face when they announce this thing...

So has anything developed regarding the theory that each car will have a live tour guide?

 I'm well aware that false rumors and speculation and outright lies spread like wildfire on the World Wide Web, and I wouldn't have found it funny if she hadn't had such an attitude about it, like I was some dumb naive kid who didn't know what the heck he was talking about. She just came off as very rude and superior. If she'd said "Well that's speculation and you shouldn't believe everything you read online," I wouldn't have been much more receptive.
I didn't mention Orlando United and even if I had, I doubt she'd have known about it. Point is, I wasn't specific about my source of information and she's correct, you shouldn't believe all you hear online, but on the same token, admit you're ignorant too. At least I can say I know my source is reliable - Team Members are told, but generally not very long before the general public does...
