Well tons as in 6-10 but that's still a lot. Especially since one is kong himself

Apparently we are getting tons of AAs and physical sets

The rumored ride vehicles lend themselves to exquisite theming and detail. Hopefully, many animatronics and physical sets are in the cards for this attraction. One thing to remember is how many generations that King Kong actually spans........basically anyone alive these days no matter how old you are has heard of or seen a King Kong movie. And while this ride will be using the Peter Jackson movie as a template for thematic design........Kong is timeless. It is a brilliant move if Universal is indeed using Great Movie Ride style vehicles.

I have a feeling the cars may be more similar to USH's tram tour, but that's just a gut feeling

There is also apparently a tour guide as well. Hopefully they don't have TOO much to say, nothing is worse than a tour guide just screaming "OH LOOK ITS KONG", well no s*** lady. That's the one thing I'm not looking forward too. Also will the RVs be actually drivable or on a track? Stupid question I know

If there are real tourguides, I hope it is done serious rather than cheesy and funny ...

It'll probably be a mix of both like jaws but with spots to improv. Tour guides can ruin rides for me, nothing is more obnoxious than tons of screaming, Star Wars references and college kids trying to act like gangsters

I personally really like tour guides and feel that they have the ability to raise the enjoyment of the ride considerably. There were quite a few skippers that absolutely made Jaws and I wish I could thank each one of them for everything they did personally. Of course there were others that were just going through the motions that sunk it. In fact I think there may be a few higher ups that got their start at the parks as a skipper.

In case anyone missed it... Spirit (aka WDW1974) has stated over on another MAGICal forum that he feels that the Kong ride is going to be far too dependent on screens. Take that for what you will. I know some members over here are not fans of him, but his info is usually quite good... so take that as an indication we'll probably be getting far more screens than physical sets or animatronics.

I know Aiello was a scare actor and John Lasseter from Pixar was a jungle cruise skipper. I'm not saying all guides are terrible, I've had some really awesome jaws skippers that took full advantage of the situation and broke the 4th wall a hundred times witch I loved. But most of the time I find them annoying

Well dependent could mean many things. I don't think it'll be transformers levels and we will have 3 scenes outside, I'm not too worried. I'm just curious about the 3D

You'll be getting both, and it was always going to have a ton of screens.

Spirit likes to twists his words to fit his agenda, and a lot of what he says is exaggerated forms of the truth.

I'd say FJ is a good standard to hold Kong's screen to AA ratio to... plus there's 3 scenes outside, so I'd say probably 65% AAs/sets, 35% screens. Universal works better with screens anyways

I feel we will get more AA's than Screen, but even 1 screen is too much for anyone on that forum. I would say, dont expect Screens for a kong AA, or two... then the insects, outdoor portions and some Dinos. You will always get some screens. But hey, It can be 20X better than we are even expecting. We will be expecting something revolutionary for gringotts.

One only has to look at how dated some of Disney's AA-heavy dark rides can become... then look at how Spidey has held up since 1999. Screens aren't some evil monster out to destroy AAs as we know them... but rather work together for a seamless, fast-paced ride experience.

Plus this ride seems to be 2/3 AAs/sets, 1/3 screens (mainly the Kong 360 part)

Exactly I like both, hope we get some sort of cool some cool dome on the ceiling to make it look like we are outside seamlessly
