What's Your Most Anticipated House of HHN 22

  • Total voters
    57
1. Penn and Teller-Stoked about the concept and the 3D!!
2. Gothic- The early reports have me pumped
3. Dead End-Sounds like it could be my favorite. Has the most potential to me
4. House of Horrors
5. Silent Hill- Tons of potential, I think the scareactors could make this better than I expect
6. Alice Cooper- Not sure what to expect, just have a bad feeling about this
7. Walking Dead- Could be better, but I'm worried since I have such high hopes from the show

I'm most excited for House of Horrors. It just sounds right up my alley (and a variation on an attraction I'd love to see year-round).

1. Silent Hill - My most anticipated, only because I hope they can do it right. This should be a sound and light heavy house and the scares can really build on that.
2. House of Horrors - Dead Exposure was terrifying, hope this can pull that off again.
3. Alice Cooper - It wouldn't have come here if it wasn't a hit. I have high hopes.
4. Dead End - Looks like it could be a great classic haunted house.
5. Penn and Teller - I'm hoping that with P&T at the helm this will turn out as a humor-scary haunt like Zombiegeddon. Unforgettably, I feel it falling flat in both.
6. Gothic - Timid about this, looks like winters night in a cathedral and I wasn't the biggest fan of wn. We'll see.
7. Walking Dead - Never watched the show, and zombies just aren't that exciting when they are trying to be scary.

Right now, I'm feeling them in this order:

1. Penn & Teller (Loving the concept and I think it's gonna be a really fun house.)
2. Dead End (I have a suspicion this will be a dark horse and favorite of mine this year.)
3. Gothic (Love Gothic style. Probably will love the theming in this one the most, but I'm not sure about the gargoyles...)
4. House of Horrors (Really curious about this one. Has great potential. And, black and white house? interesting...)
5. Silent Hill (Not familiar with the franchise, but looks very promising based on previews.)
6. Alice Cooper (Looks pretty great, but I'm not as pumped about this one as some of the others.)
7. The Walking Dead (Zombies: classic or cliche? Very popular, so it's obvious why there's always a zombie house, but I'd prefer something new and original. We'll see...)

Lot of apprehension and disbelief about AC. The house was amazing WITHOUT the huge budget that Orlando can throw at it. I'd love to take a walk through your beefed up version...

:iagree:
I was actually getting ready to post about that. It seems everybody is putting AC an TWD twords the bottom of the list. TWD is a very popular show ( even though i'm not a huge fan ) an AC was a HUGE hit in Hollywood so I see it being a success here as well.

I'm excited for all my top six. Cooper is just the one I'm least excited for, not that I think it will be bad.

TWD is just...meh. The show is decent to bad depending on the episodes, and zombies are just zombies.

After going through Cooper last year it's the only reason it placed in my top three.

TBH, I think all the houses have great potential and there's no real disappointments. For me, the others just have concepts that are more interesting, or that I'm more curious about. And of course, it's highly likely that my ranking will change as far as favorite houses once I experience them.

I am not really a AC fan so I have very little interest in that house after seeing the video, sorry don't care how amazing it was on the other coast.

I don't game and I though the Silent Hill movie was utter crap, and the next one won't be out til long after HHNs 22 is a memory for me, thats why it is so low on my list.

TWD is the TWD...

P&T 50/50

I like sets so I am exited for Gothic and Dead End as, IMO, that fits a haunted event to a tee...

1. Gothic - Shot to #1 after the early run-throughs. I like the sound of huge sets.
2. Alice Cooper - More intrigue than anticipation. It was #1 in Cali, and I want to see why.
3. Dead End - Sucker for Haunted Houses, and I think they learned a few lessons from Wyandot.
4. House of Horrors - The concept sounds great on paper, but I wonder about the execution.
5. Walking Dead - I love the show, but I've never seen a zombie house done justice. Maybe this will be the time. For authentic experience, must have a lost Carl.
6. Penn & Teller - I'm not big on joke houses, but the low rank doesn't mean I think the house will be terrible. My fave houses of past few years have been Cleaver and Bloodengutz.
7. Silent Hill - I think it's going to be really hard to capture the essence of the creeptastic atmosphere of the game, but if anyone can prove me wrong..it's the minds behind HHN.

1. Gothic- The scale of the house has me really excited and the set will probably be really amazing.
2. Silent Hill- The fact that I know absolutely nothing about Silent Hill has me really excited, I have no idea what to expect and the environment looks really awesome.
3. Dead End- The set looks really creepy from the pictures, and this is another house that I really have no idea what it's about since the description was so vague.
4. House of Horrors- I love black and white movies and I have wanted a all black and white house for a while, mixed with DE style I think it could be really great.
5. Alice Cooper- Looks like a cool mash up of themes and environments, and from the reviews last year it will probably be really great.
6. Walking Dead- After the last zombie house I'm not too sure about this one, but I loved the comic and the city like atmosphere will probably be really cool.
7. Penn and Teller- I think this one will be really fun, I'm sure this will be a house that I will come out of and want to do right again.

I'm really excited about all of them, and my opinions will most certainly change once the event starts, but here is my ranking right now:
1. Gothic - I am so excited for the sets in this one
2. Penn and Teller - I really like the pictures we've seen from this one, plus this one is more than likely our dark comedy house, and I always love those
3. Silent Hill - From the second I saw the movie I thought it would make a great house. This will probably be the scariest house for me.
4. House of Horrors - I loved DE and I love classic movies, but the other three are just more intresting to me
5. Dead End - In some ways I'm really excited for this one, but at the same time, it seems a little generic
6. Alice Cooper - I'm interested to see how this one turns out, but I'm just more excited for others
7. The Walking Dead - Even though I love the show, in a house, zombies are just zombies

Let's see here...
1. Universal's House of Horrors: Dead Exposure is probably one of the scariest (if not THE scariest) houses I've attended, and now a similar concept taking us back to the black and white age with classic monsters? Count me in.
2. Dead End: I love me some classic haunted house, and in a soundstage? Can't wait.
3. Silent Hill: I've never played the games but am familiar with the mythology enough to know this has the potential to be a killer house.
4. Gothic: Very interesting premise, but some early good reviews make me excited
5. The Walking Dead: a big fan of the comic and a follower of the show, I think this will be a good house, but let's hope it doles out the scares.
6. Penn & Teller Newkd Vegas: Is this our humor house? I'm never a huge fan of the humorous houses but we'll see how it goes, neat concept though, especially after hinting at a casino/vegas house last year.
7. Alice Cooper's Welcome to my Nightmare: Meh, the concept doesn't seem that great to me, but I've heard the Hollywood HHNgoers enjoyed it last year.

1. Penn and Teller Newk'd Las Vegas - Big fans of these guys, and the fact that I may be coming face to face with them in this house thrills me. Added bonus, its in 3-D and has amazing sets from what I've seen.
2. Gothic - Sets looks amazing and so does the concept. I've always been fascinated with Gargoyles so this should be interesting.
3. Dead End - More Carey, Ohio refrences? Seems like there's more to this house that needs to be found out. Very, interesting.
4. Silent Hill - As an avid Silent Hill player, I'm quite excited to see how this house will come into fruition. I can't wait to come face to face with the pyramid head.
5. The Walking Dead: Dead Inside - Welp, we shall see what goes on here. Its in the Disaster! queue. I'm thinking this will take away from the whole experience but whatever. I love the TV show so we will see.
6. Universal's House of Horrors - Classic Monsters in black in white AND strobes?? Color me excited. (hehehe) Makes me wonder how this house will be set-up.
7. Alice Cooper: Welcome to My Nightmare- Can't judge just yet, but I don't see myself getting much out of this house. I've literally only listened to School's Out. And the concept seems really cheesy. Guess I'll have to see when I walk inside.

I haven't done much research, but this is what I think without explanation.

1. Silent Hill
2. Penn and Teller: New(kd) Las Vegas
3. Universal House of Horrors
4. Gothic
5. Alice Cooper: Welcome to my Nightmare
6. Dead End
7. The Walking Dead: Dead Inside
