Now, what if you combined the "Iron Man patent" with some tech from Toy Story Mania?

That's what I was thinking,I think they could be onto a real winner here. A great IP and a proven and loved ride type like TSM or MIB mixed with the excitement of a KUKA ride system.

With these sounds going off throughout the ride, this will probably the closest anybody will ever get to being in an Iron Man suit.

The Iron Man Patent is just begging to be an attraction. I could see a next gen Kuka attraction with that, as that really does seem like the closest anyone may get to a true Iron Man experience.

Does the Kuka exclusive deal end next year though? I think they could do something better than Kuka as Kuka's great for the flying effect but sucks at speed effect and to induce the sense of speed, Uni's problem with arise again with another "screen based" ride

And this would totally be housed inside a shiny new Avengers Tower facade right? Something that says "Hey look mom! Iron Man lives there!" from the freeway right? :D

Perhaps, but that doesn't mean they could renew or make a new contract altogether.

As for the issue of Screenz, if I remember correctly; @hatetofly mentioned a long time ago in a now deleted OU post that FJ would of had more practical elements onto it, but got cut in the long run. I would say that if the screenz are used as transitional pieces like Pirates or FJ; I am perfectly fine with that.

Something like this?

In my head, I'm imagining a mix between Spider-Man and ToT. Plenty of screenz but I don't care. The icing on the cake would be to have a few hotel rooms at the top of the tower. If Disney can add a room in Cinderella Castle, why not here. The views would be incredible. Look down on the Hulk, Hogwarts castle in the distance, Volcano Bay out the opposite windows.

Well, the patent calls the Iron Man thing a simulator and that it would be similar to a flying theater but much more interactive. What if this was AR/VR?

While I'm not one to make fun of Disney at times, Thrill Geek posted this fantastic thing about the Iron Man ride systems..

Incredibly awkward if they don't build it, lol.

this ride system doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Seems it would be uncomfortable. I'm sure it would be great and the fanboy inside of me would go nuts being inside an Iron Man suit, but I'll wait and see if it goes anywhere.

For an average sized males it should be relevantly fine, as it looks to be just a themed chest restraint. For females and larger males, though I can see issues especially with gravity and pressure of slightly leaning forward against the restraint.

Ok so I just read the patent and its already like a Kuka arm as its a track ride not a flying theater at all. Essentially you "fly" (which is the simulation) and the cars have the ability to rotate you and swing you around as you move along a track. It also has the ability to move the passenger to different rows and positions in the ride vehicle as they ride.

Correct. Patent says "flying simulator rig assembly that is suspended from a bogie that travels along a track during operation." So a track overhead and possibly a curved screen that goes below the guests feet to keep them fully immersed.

You may be on to something as in the patent it literally says on page 13 on the full text and image application section 0030 it being used for fantastic beasts and monsters. I think the Iron Man Concept was just misdirection

I Mean yeah the concept does specifically mention fantastic beasts but that design with the armor harness and the actual hand/palm shooter just screams iron man

I have no idea if this comic is any good, but Iron Man and his Iron Avengers versus Marvel kaiju would be an amazing ride concept.

I think people are reading too much into the "examples" given in the patent. They're meaning less. This is clearly meant for Iron Man
